Great to hear Crosby is coming back, but he is one hit away from retirement most likely. Think of guys like Connoly, Mueller, Allison... LINDROS... they were never the same

highfive 11-07-2011 05:56 PM

Did anyone see Dan Paille got shot in the face with the puck?

RiceIntegraRS 11-07-2011 05:58 PM

Unlike those other guys, Crosby took his time coming back. So he shouldnt be as prone to getting another concussion like those other guys

Montreal basically spoiled all and every strip club for me

also the one strip club we went to had the wackest bottle service i'd ever seen, we didnt get it as we were only staying for a couple drinks, but the guys beside us had it, basically they give you a 40 pounder but ONLY the server can pour your drinks and nothing more than a double, and to ensure the bottle is ONLY poured by the server, there is actually a fucking locking pour spout on the bottle that she has the key to..

Having experienced the scene in both MTL (Club Wanda and the Chez Paree)and Vegas, the Rhino in Vegas may be the best club in North America.

Good to hear Crosby's back soon. Such an unreal player, been out of the game for too long.

You should also try to catch the SJS game. But those tickets are as expensive as the ones here in Vancouver.

Wow no kidding... if that doesn't support the idea of mandatory visors, what will? Imagine if Paille wasn't wearing one!

One day a man decided to retire...
He booked himself on a Caribbean cruise and proceeded to have the time of his life, that is, until the ship sank.

He soon found himself on an island with no other people, no supplies, nothing, only bananas and coconuts.
After about four months, he is lying on the beach one day when the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen rows up to the shore.
In disbelief, he asks, "Where did you come from? How did you get here?"

She replies, "I rowed over from the other side of the island where I landed when my cruise ship sank."

"Amazing," he notes. "You were really lucky to have a row boat wash up with you."
"Oh, this thing?" explains the woman. "I made the boat out of some raw material I found on the island.

The oars were whittled from gum tree branches. I wove the bottom from palm tree branches, and the sides and stern came from a Eucalyptus tree."

"But, where did you get the tools?"

"Oh, that was no problem," replied the woman. "On the south side of the island, a very unusual stratum of alluvial rock is exposed. I found that if I fired it to a certain temperature in my kiln, it melted into ductile iron I used that to make tools and used the tools to make the hardware."

The guy is stunned.

"Let's row over to my place," she says. So, after a short time of rowing, she soon docks the boat at a small wharf.

As the man looks to shore, he nearly falls off the boat. Before him is a long stone walk leading to an cabin and treehouse.

While the woman ties up the rowboat with an expertly woven hemp rope, the man can only stare ahead, dumb struck. As they walk into the house, she says casually,

"It's not much, but I call it home. Sit down, please."

"Would you like a drink?"

"No! No thank you," the man blurts out, still dazed. "I can't take another drop of coconut juice."

"It's not coconut juice," winks the woman. "I have a still. How would you like a Tropical Spritz?"
Trying to hide his continued amazement, the man accepts, and they sit down on her couch to talk.

After they exchange their individual survival stories, the woman announces, "I'm going to slip into something more comfortable. Would you like to take a shower and shave? There's a razor in the bathroom cabinet upstairs."

No longer questioning anything, the man goes upstairs into the bathroom. There, in the cabinet is a razor made from a piece of tortoise bone. Two shells honed to a hollow ground edge are fastened on to its end inside a swivel mechanism.

"This woman is amazing," he muses. "What's next?" When he returns, she greets him wearing nothing but some small flowers on tiny vines, each strategically positioned, she smelled faintly of gardenias.

She then beckons for him to sit down next to her.

"Tell me," she begins suggestively, slithering closer to him, "We've both been out here for many months.

You must have been lonely. There's something I'm certain you feel like doing right now, something you've been longing for, right?" She stares into his eyes.

He can't believe what he's hearing. "You mean..." he swallows excitedly as tears start to form in his eyes,

"You Have The CANUCKS On TV ?"

Berz out.

Thought about it. But not worth the extra flight/drive. Google maps says it is a 6hr drive from where we are staying, Huntingdon Beach.

Pop Quiz!!! Which of the following players is NOT a NHL goaltender?

A) https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-F...52520Stats.png

B) https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5...25252011-7.png

C) https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-a...52520Stats.png

B, Dustin Penner.
We would have also accepted C, Jon Bernier.

That's right, folks... during Monday night's loss to the San Jose Sharks... Los Angeles Kings goaltender, Jon Quick, tied Dustin Penner in points for the season.

He's a purple belt in brazilian jiu jitsu.

That portrait is of the late Helio Gracie, creator of Gracie Jiu Jitsu aka BJJ.

Everybody hugs Raymond: Canucks welcome back winger

Injured forward skates with teammates for first time since Cup final, but no time frame for return to lineup

L SEGUNDO, Calif. — Vancouver Canucks forward Mason Raymond rejoined teammates on the ice here Tuesday for the first time since suffering a compression fracture in his back on a hit by Boston Bruin Johnny Boychuk in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final.

Raymond, who spent most of the summer in a back brace, emphasized there is no time frame for his return to National Hockey League action. But the winger felt good enough during Tuesday's hour-long workout to participate in drills that involved contact.

“It's good to be here,” Raymond said. “It's been a long time. It's the first time on the ice since the incident. To get out there with everybody else, see a few smiles … it felt good. It has been a lot of hard work. June 13: that date sticks in my head. Tonnes of rehab, doing things twice a day, doing everything I could to get myself better. You work for moments like this. Today is another stepping stone.”

Raymond flew to Los Angeles on Monday and said he was excited just to pack his equipment bag and get on a plane.

He soared around the ice at the Los Angeles Kings' practice facility, skating well even if he didn't feel very graceful.

Two Canucks who were missed at practice were defenceman Sami Salo (groin) and first-line winger Alex Burrows (back).

Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault said Salo may practise with the team on Wednesday, but offered no update on Burrows except to reiterate the injury is “day to day.”

Vigneault said Roberto Luongo will start in goal Thursday against the Kings (7:30 p.m., Sportsnet Vancouver, Team 1040), likely leaving Cory Schneider to play the next night against the Anaheim Ducks. Both Southern California teams have been struggling.

Lol now that November is here, I don't get too worried when I hear Luongo is starting. I have to remember that October is non existent in Luongo's calendar. November = real start of the season lol
