I'm not even mad. Detroit pretty much had the game on lock. I'm just glad we didn't lose like the Hawks. :heckno: |

Our offence was so confused and messed up most of the time. Detroit deserves the win. Posted via RS Mobile |
Highlights as usual this Makaveli guy is seriously awesome |
The one thing I don't agree with AV on is his lineup in the shootout. I think the go-to should be something like CoHo, Burrows and Kes. CoHo's proven himself in the shootout and has had success in it at every level of hockey he's played. Mind boggling. |
lol knew luu would choke in shootout he was solid for rest of the game though |

^^ Can't blame it all on him, shooters didn't score either. Quote:

Eh I don't think using either Sedin would help... @GMillerTSN: in their last nine shootouts, the canucks haven't used either Sedin. Daniel is 0 for his last 6. Henrik is 0 for 3 in his career :heckno: Posted via RS Mobile |
Raymond is useful, but only if he does his spinorama. I've yet to see him score doing any other move he tries. Burrows is not a bad choice either, but only if he does his deke and backhand. His other moves don't work, and he over thinks it just like Raymond. I would think CoHo would be a sure thing for the shootout, since he's proven he can do it. And Sedins are just garbage in the shootout. It's so bad, you'll wonder if they are even trying. You can't blame Luongo, Datsyuk is one of the best penalty shot shooters in the game. He has 2 proven moves that has embarrassed countless of goalies, and even if he runs out of room, he still makes one up on the spot like flipping it over the goalie. |
Those were some pathetic shootout attempt by both Edler and Raymond. I don't think it's fair to say Luongo choked. Everything gets blamed on the goalie in Vancouver, nothing new. |
Sam Gagner with 8 points (4G, 4A) against Chicago today. Dangggg |

Edler's fake almost looked like he lost control of the puck. And Raymond DID lose control of the puck. But it's not like it would have mattered, since even Luongo would have stopped that one with his infamous "belly flop leg spread" move. |
Not sure if you guys seen this one (budweiser superbowl commercial in canada).. pretty damn COOL |
If we put it all on the line in OT, we wouldn't be having this discussion. We were too passive, I don't know about you but I rather lose in OT than in the SO where we are in a sure losing situation, Howard (2 SOG GA this season) and Datsyuk.. We played to passively, normally we see a flying Canucks team that has more than one SOG, but that's what a team like Detroit does to you, they're different from any other team in the NHL. |
The first period could have been alot worse had it not been for Lebrongo. Why is AV using a defenceman and a third liner for the shootout? meh :seriously: |
this is when I miss linden and wellwood =[ |
Found a Booth penalty shot. Looks a bit like one of Datsyuk's moves. For sure, I don't mind others getting a chance. But we all know AV plays favourites. And sometimes he just sends whoever scored goals in the game to reward them. Did some reviewing on the past few shootouts. Raymond actually hit the post twice using the same move against LA and Edmonton. Maybe just needs to refine that one a bit more. |
^i think datsyuk's move was a little smoother..booth's looked a bit rigid when he was deking. |
