Haha Darren Dreger was asked about Marchand's possible suspension, and he said that he would be surprised if Marchand would get suspended, but he wouldn't be surprised if Marchand got a fine. But Marchand is now totally on the radar, and (in Dreger's own words) "If you so much as sneeze with that schnoz, you're getting a 3 game suspension". :lol |

Bring back Brashear. He'll git r done. |
Wow Shanny is opening up pandoras box i hope he considered that it was a clip on a forecheck. otherwise, every player could do this now by precedence just as how lucic wasnt suspended on his hit on Miller. Goalies are fair game? |
anyone else think this trade deadline is going to fizzle and not have much going on? ive been saying it for a month and its funny seeing how much TSN and sportsnet are pumping it up. i kinda miss the old days where you sit in front of TSN all day with new shit coming in constantly and theres like 10 blockbuster trades and every team makes 2 or 3 moves at least. when sportsnet did the trade deadline pizza party tho, that was a low point in sports broadcasting. ill never forget nick kipreos shoving half a pizza into his mouth on camera close up and saying "mmmmmm". lol |
Maybe they'll have a McDonalds party this year since they seem to be pushing McCafe. |
Columbus Blue Jackets right winger Rick Nash has announced the list of teams he would be willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to, according to the Columbus Dispatch. The list includes the Boston Bruins, San Jose Sharks, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and Toronto Maple Leafs. Earlier in the week the Blue Jackets announced their former first-overall draft pick was on the trading block. Nash has posted 527 points (277 goals, 250 assists) in 649 career games with the franchise. In 2009 the Blue Jackets signed Nash to an eight-year contract extension worth $62.4 million, effective through the 2017-18 season. |
Lol what happened to the nucks ;) Posted via RS Mobile |
please go to toronto :troll: |
something a lot of people don't understand is how cap space works as the season progresses. if you acquire a player at the trade deadline, you only assume the % of the season remaining of the cap hit. so roughly 23% i think. plus long term injury reserve money available as well. this means that expensive players with expiring contracts at the end of the season can be picked up easily as you only need to fit their partial cap hit into this years cap, not the full salary next year the canucks have about 50,000 of cap room on the year, but at the trade deadline they will be able to absorb a $1.4million salary. boston has $2.8million in cap space on the year which translates into a salary of $13.2million. colorado could pick up $67million worth of salaries. |
pretty sure they didn't list all the teams he's interested in |
Guess CBJ is so bad, he would even be willing to go to Toronto. |
Please go Toronto, so i can watch rick nash and not the maple leafs on saturday during HNIC! Im sure burke will blow up the team just to aquire nash anyways. |

Damien Cox of the Toronto Star wrote that Nash would be a nice fit for the Maple Leafs, but it would be a tough deal to make because of salary cap concerns and whether or not Toronto has the assets (and GM Brian Burke has to be willing to move them) to make the deal. For the Leafs to be involved, names like Nazem Kadri, Joe Colborne and Luke Schenn are sure to come up. Maybe Mikhail Grabovski as well, especially to help make the finances work. via tsn Quote:

As much as we all hate the leafs, its best for Canada to aquire one of their national treasures back home. Which is why its worth the shot the leafs grabbing nash with everything they got besides kessel and lupul. Riemer and monster will be in play since cbj needs a goalie. East coast express? Playing with 1 top line solid D and duo goaltending will draw enough fans to boost cbc rating :troll: |
Please, please, send his 7.8 million cap hit for 70 points and weak defense to Toronto. |
trade: [PHI/DAL] Nicklas Grossman(DAL) to PHI for '12 2nd (LA) and '13 3rd (MIN) |

another trade: [SJ/TB] Dominic Moore and 7th Round Pick(TB) to San Jose for 2nd(MIN) |
LoL, without Lundqvist in net, the Rangers were down 4-0 not even halfway through the first period. |
I'm pretty sure that he'll go to NY:R |

Toews with 2 points already. But I imagine that they would be putting him to replace biron to start the second if they want any hope of winning the game. |
