Mad Props to the good guys/girls Riot 2011

I think we should give credit where credit is due! There was a lot of people causing damage yesterday and a few that tried to make a difference. This thread is to show my appreciation to them and for the people that don't want to/have time to sift through the other full riot thread.

Starting with:

Dude in the Adidas track suit "This is our city!"

Trying to stop the flipping of a van. My bad for thinking you became one of them in the other thread. :P

Girl protecting the car (her car?) and it's said that she tried pulling off peoples bandanas off (http://www.revscene.net/forums/showp...&postcount=901)

Just wow to the two girls defending the M5. In that vid you can can hear someone say "That's her car"

If it were two guys they probably would have been shit kicked.

Bruins fan showing sympathy and helping clean up after Canucks fans. I saw him DT a couple times this morning when I was helping out, he was being really respectful and genuine.

TouringTeg 06-17-2011 08:10 AM

guy in the checkered shirt got jumped by 10 + people trying to help the Bay and other bystanders out

Cereal Killer 06-17-2011 04:08 PM

I was at Speakeasy Bar & Grill on Granville when tear gas was released. The staff took in people who wanted to avoid the gas as well as helping those who came into contact with the gas wash it out of their eyes. Kudos to them :)

Speed2K 06-19-2011 01:37 AM

Wow, this guy is a monster!

Bert Easterbrook! He and a couple of other un-named guys trying to stop rioters from burning/flipping the pickup.

Way to go Bert!

Do you even know the story?

He's a local boy that's a Bruins fan. After game 7, he got his ass kicked by the riot. People spat on him because he was wearing Bruins colors.

Next day, he wakes up early to help everyone clean up.

So don't talk shit about this guy.

Yep, these two assholes.

http://ow.ly/i/d44Q/original

http://ow.ly/i/d7OK/original

And a couple other assholes.

That guy was awesome. He was yelling at the crowd, telling him this was our city...pulling a metal bar out of the window that the douche in the backward's blue hat used to break the window at The Bay.

Boostslut 06-19-2011 01:44 AM

Geez, that girl with the M5 i really feel for her and of course all the others who has businesses and personal property wrecked. Remember, for every one bad apple, there is a crop of beauties!
