That's sick. China, you've gone too far.

MindBomber 07-03-2011 02:28 AM

It's painful and sad to see any sentient creature made to suffer needlessly, the childish reason for forcing innocent beings to endure such appaling conditions just make it all the more sad.

Situations like this should serve as reminders to us that among the unique traits possessed by human beings is the desire to watch other creatures suffer for our amusement - a trait that we should work as a society to eliminate.

xilley 07-03-2011 03:06 AM

fucking china, sick minded fucks

imagine the stress that fish is going through, and the moment it starts gasping for air
imagine thats you gasping for oxygen waiting to die.i mean, just try to hold your breath to see if you can stand not breathing. holy fuck

Amuse 07-03-2011 06:03 AM

I'll buy a bunch just to release them back into the lakes where they belong, not in cramped up little bags where they can't breathe while swimming in disgusting coloured chemical water.

dark0821 07-03-2011 06:27 AM

^ better not be in some lake in china...

cuz those water are polutted as fuck... not sure if releasing them is any diff from sending them to their death...

Yeah; because goldfish belong in lakes :failed:

While its certainly not the most PETA approved way of fish transportation, if that is truly the purpose I don't see the problem. Its a stupid novelty for a couple of days, after which the fish gets put into an aquarium I assume.

Goldfish are like practice fish anyhow. Anyone here who has had some growing up, know they end up in the toilet sooner or later. Its always due to negligence in some way or another. Should we start issuing licenses to raise fish, and sending out inspectors to ensure the accommodations are suitable before selling fish to anyone. People keep them in horrible tortuous conditions all the time.

Cat in a bag? Ok, now that would be another story. Let it out.

Sometimes it's hard to hate these mainlanders cuz they r simply ignorant. They dun see things our way beacuse they've never been educated like we do. Things like this will keep happening until the current generation dies off.

and their offsprings will continue the tradition.

I think we need to realize these mainlanders were farmers just 20 years ago. Animals are nothing but tools. Cats are to catch mice, dogs are security guards, oxen are plowers. Just as how we dun understand how they can treat animals with such cruelty, they dun understand why we can treat animals as friends.

just because folks with severe Alzheimer's may have very poor short term memory doesn't mean we can abuse 'em either

While I agree it's cruel, fish and turtles are not sentient.

The definition of sentience is the ability to percieve through senses; turtle and fish have senses and respond to changes in their environment, therefore they are sentient.
