BTW, downloaded Llama and it was the program I was using before back then with the Nexus One. Great profile customization.

Can anyone recommend me a stock watcher app?
The build-in one looks too fancy. I just want to simple one. I'm used to the one on iPhone.

Stay away from Chomp, it worked well for the first 6 months, started having problems (not being able to delete messages, sends multiple texts to the same person anywhere from within a few minutes to hours later, and some sort of a "template" issue)

I contacted and emailed the chomp help service, and even the guy replied in the emails saying that I wasn't the only one who has asked them about it, and there was some sort of bug in the app that they haven't figured out how to fix yet.

Such a waste, I was really starting to like to and get used to it. Heard GoSmsPro is a good replacement but haven't made the switch yet.

Anyone use Tasker?

I'll fiddle around with it when I have some time.
Seems like a very powerful automation app.

Screen filter.

Adds an adjustable dimming filter so you can use your monster screen Galaxy S2 at night without lighting up the whole room and burning your eyeballs out.

Seconded - love it. Just discovered by accident, too, I can flip the display to the side to get to folders and plugins on it.

my friend just introduced me to advanced task killer. i like it, it closes apps running in the background that may be using your data or draining your battery.

are there any good hardcore games? when i was playing w/ my wife's iphone she i was able to get some games like a 3D RPG by square that looked like final fantasy.

all i could find was zemonia, pocket legends and a few others.

JayEch 09-09-2011 09:55 PM

These games look interesting, better than the usual angry bird anyways lol. All free from android market too

SkinnyPupp 09-09-2011 09:58 PM

If you're sick of Angry Birds:

Battleheart | AppBrain Android Market

Don't make the mistake I did, in assuming that gaming on iOS is so much better. While they do have more selection of course, almost all the games have been throwaway titles, where you goof around with it for a few minutes then never go back.

Arg, you just cost me $3 and use of my phone as my GF's daughter loves this game! :D

Armind 09-10-2011 10:45 PM

nabs 09-10-2011 10:49 PM
