Probably one of the most useful apps ever for rooted users.

widgets resizing and overlapping are important
does it do that?

btw..i can't stand MIUI..i tried it on long ago...
Cyanogen was just so easy!

Resizing's a yes, though I don't think it does overlapping, unfortunately. I do like it for its app drawer and theming options.

What was so hard about MIUI? For what it's worth, the latest versions are a lot better than, say, a few months ago.

Im currently using GoLauncher, The app drawer is neat
many themes to be had, but i've been manually changing them myself.

as for MIUI, i tried it on the nexusOne days when it first launcher
I havent went back since.

Any alternatives to Titanium Backup for people that's not rooted?

toast321 11-14-2011 12:17 AM

speak to it assistant.
voice recognition app like siri but works in canada. can customize what your cartoon assistant looks like too. pretty cool.

I just tried and got the same message as you. :okay:

For those that uses Go Launcher, this is a really good theme for icons. Contains more than 500 application icons :fullofwin:
[Go Launcher Theme] Suave HD [APK] - xda-developers

And I recommend TinyShark (basically Grooveshark but without monthly fee) for streaming music on the go
TinyShark - Android Market

^Why is everybody into iphone-ish looking icons? Just curious..
I tried launcher pro plus yesterday, and DO NOT WANT. It is simple and fast, but the degree of customization makes my phone look too "out of the box"

this icon pack happened to have almost exactly what I wanted: clean design and a lot of custom application icons.

all my homescreens use launcher pro plus
the biggest thing it has over GoLauncher is the size/speed and OVERLAPPING widgets

i been using golauncher the past week. its definitely not a launcher for single core devices.

Does LPP allow you to change application/dock icons? Thats one thing I use all the time with GO Launcher

JayEch 11-16-2011 06:36 PM

^ yeah i believe it does, but u have to find ur own icon if you dont like theirs. Btw is there any app that lets you change icons without changing the launcher?

Tim Budong 11-16-2011 10:24 PM

lpp lets u change icons
if not
desktop visualizer allows even more customization like my w7 theme

Why wouldn't GOLauncher be a launcher for single core devices? My captivate is handling it perfectly fine; although I do have mine OC'ed to 1.5GHz and I'm using the V6SuperCharger script

badgerx3 11-19-2011 11:34 PM

here is a link on how to get google's cloud computing music app! it was only available to u.s. citizens: How-to: use Google Music from anywhere (yes, outside of the United States) -- Engadget and here is the actual app for your android device, since you can't download it from the app market because you aren't from the u.s.: http://www.mediafire.com/?f4nihfn9u80hrn6

mlworks 11-20-2011 02:25 AM

^ thx! works perfectly :D
Google really gotta make a better widget for their music app.. at the moment it's very bland looking and lacking in features (can only Play/Pause and skip to next track)
