Ambani holds a lot of meeting at his house eith people from around the world and is showing what Indian companies can do.

you can't be serious.....

how about taking that $1bn and contracting a billion dollars worth of schools and health care facilities or museums or something to enrich the community

not only will you be giving many more construction workers jobs but also employ in those facilities and you'll also be enriching the community in that shit hole after the fact that the jobs done

and he can make the structures pretty wild to 'show what can be done'

saying he built this cock extender for anything other than some self glorification is just a crock

Vale46Rossi 08-03-2011 05:50 PM

Hmm, only thing I can say is congrats for a stupid investment but I wouldn't go to the level and bitch at him because he could have spend the money on something else.

In the end it's his money.

All I'll do is laugh at him and call it a day.

You don't have to bring your soapbox to every thread.

And lets look at Donald Trump.

Is Donald Trump the least charitable billionaire? | KMOV.com St. Louis

Donald Trump claims to be worth billions of dollars, but the tax records for his foundation reveal he gives very little of his fortune to his own non-profit.

In 2009, Trump donated nothing. In 2008, he contributed $30,000.

you misunderstand

if you're going to build something for the sake of self glorification, cock extending
fine... do it...

dont try and sugar coat it... which is what you tried to do manic :P

its like those guys in Dubai.... building their giant atrocities when the natives of the area are poor but the thing is those in dubai aren't touting that they're actually helping the locals by doing so...

whether this guy contributes pioneers charity in the area is a completely different matter than to the comment of yours i was replying to :P

Ronin 08-03-2011 07:22 PM

Why do people with so much money have such terrible taste in furniture and interior design? It's like Donald Trump's place...it's full of gold and shit that looks like it's from...well, Versaille. That sort of thing is beautiful in the context of history but goddamn is it ugly in any other environment. It's just so gaudy.

That last picture looks a bit more refined and modern. It's not particularly good looking on the outside either.

That being said, it's an impressive amount of money dumped into this place but $2 billion is too fucking much for a private residence.

That's just TOO MUCH space, really. Imagine trying to find your keys. OH FUCK, DID I LEAVE IT IN ROOMS 18-46 OR SOMEWHERE ON THE 81st FLOOR?!

Why? It's his money. He can do what he wants with it. He's not REQUIRED to give it away to the poor. Great responsibility only comes with great power in Spider-man comics.

However, if he's going to build this thing here, he should've sourced the labor from the area. Dumping a billion into the Mumbai economy would make a massive difference and he gets a huge ass house.

He earned his money. No reason he can't spend it where he wants.

He did. They made sure 90+% of the materials used to build the house are from India unlike people in the middle east that import everything.

The photo's of the interior are jut drawings and not the real thing. the family is living on 4 floors of the house. the house itself cost less than 100 million to build.

The Most Expensive House in the World Completed - $1 Billion Antilia Building (Mumbai)

Known as a deeply private man, there is widespread surprise that Ambani has made such a lavish statement of his wealth. However, the property is thought to have cost an estimated £44m to build, and because of Mumbai’s massive land and property prices, is worth at least £630m, it is a very good investment, perhaps too good to miss.

Know complained when a single white 22 year old bought a 55000 square foot house for 85 million.

Actual pic of the house.

people in Vancouver spend over 50& of there income on living expenses know one complains.

Mukesh Ambani spends less than 1/25th of his net worth on a place to live and people complain.

jay Len's Car collection is worth over 60 mill (quick Google search) Maybe he should have built a school in Africa like Oprah did instead.

Ronin 08-03-2011 08:48 PM

I can't take it anymore.

Know != No.

easy - they dont buy it out of opinion, but because its expensive and people say if you buy it, you are rich. two words: ed hardy. more extreme example that people may not agree with: rolls royce :-p

2billion of a 27billion networth isn't 1/25th :P

but ur still missing the point, maybe im just not being clear?

Ambani, i don't think, isn't the one going "look i built a $2bn home to help the locals cuz they got to construct it for me for pennies" you, manic, were the one saying that and tried to pass it off as a generous thing to do for the community :D that's what i was calling out

my fault i guess for not being perfectly clear

How can something be a waste of money when at the end of the day you will end up making money off of it?

Money doesn't buy you taste.

It's not too much, it's his money he can do whatever he wants with it.

He won't need keys dude.

b92 08-04-2011 01:09 AM

ugly house. If I was a millionaire or billionaire I'd buy myself a normal house and a bunch of cars or a mansion is enough. Don't need all that extra space, just a nice living room, kitchen and stainless steel household stuff are good for me.
