I saw a whole whack of First Nations people at the PNE on Monday. First time anywhere in Vancvouver where there were more of anything other than Asians in the last 8 years. I thought I was in Winnipeg or back east. It seemed like they all hung out at the White Spot.

Anyway, back to the PNE. I was very disappointed to find out there was no bingo place anywhere on the grounds.

How was VanCity day? How did it work? Did you have to show your bank card/ credit card? I have a car loan with them; no bank card tho. :(

It was busy at the gates. Ya, you had to show a member card to get the deal. Vancity staff were giving some stuff to members.

BBQ at the PNE this year is amazing. Haven't had such good BBQ since I was in Memphis.

Tried all 5 operators. The pulled pork and ribs from Gator's were probably my favorite. Brisket sandwich from Smoke and Bones was also good, and the ribs from QN4U were also pretty heavenly.

I'll be staying after my shift on friday.

On Pirate Pack BC Adventures Day (White Spot), there was a coupon for buy one get one free admission to the PNE. I think a lot of people over looked it because it was with a bunch of other useless coupons, like zoo, aquarium for kids, etc.

The coupon I was referring to is for PNE tickets. It won't work at White Spot. They only sell food there.


These coupons are FROM White Spot FOR PNE tickets. You show coupon and pay normal admission price (whatever that is) then bingo, bango, luongo, you get a free ticket of same value.

Nothing to do with getting food at the White Spot inside PNE.
