Wow a lot of you guys are pretty high ranked lol. Need to play a lot more CS instead of DOTA2 lol. |
I'm not ranked yet, just found out about Competitive Classic rankted matches last week lol ... I guess I'm matched up with newbs so far cuz I've carried 2 games and lost 1 because of 3 leavers. |
i'll play :O add cssu |
am i the only forever 1.6 player? :( |
I used to love 1.6 and even tried playing for a few months recently. However, there are far too many people who use hacks that the enjoyment has seriously dropped. |
1.6, I used to play strictly on the -UNITY- server, there are enough mature admins to insta-ban hackers around the clock and the server is usually pretty full. Haven't touched it since I got GO though. |
GO in many respect is a modern take on the original CS (unlike the cartoony and large hitboxes of Source)...it's come a long way since its release and the update happening next week or two is rumoured to bring supressors back It's really enjoyable because of the built-in matchmaking/ranking for scrims (now called Classic Competitive) I dont get how 1.6 still has sucha large player base...all I can find is 24/7 Dust 2 servers many with bots. |

I played 1.6 for years.. since I was a little kid (didn't get into the competitive scene though). The amount of individual skill, teamwork, timing for pushes, use of grenades, etc etc requires so much more work than other FPS games. CS in general, is still by far the BEST FPS in my opinon. CS:GO definitely has potential to reunite the divided community of CS 1.6/Source players. The mechanics are more based on 1.6, and I love the new game options (Competitive matchmaking). The thing I don't like CS:GO as of now, is the slow/lack of updates. Hackers are not getting banned, when you reach a certain rank on CS:GO, there is bound to be hackers in each game. Also, I don't understand why valve refuses to put in competitive maps for competitive match making (removes the stupid fog, items, chickens, etc), and the lack of silencers. The team-killing banning system is a complete JOKE. How difficult is it to add a "forgive teammate option"? And not to mention, why isn't it possible to have a option to choose for different maps for "rematches"? There are tons of threads on the steam (CS:GO subforums) asking for changes/better updates, but Valve doesn't seem to care at all. The truth is, the era of Counter-Strike is over. Nobody likes to play hard games (steep learning curve) anymore, there is no target market for CS. Kids these days only know what COD is. |
I heard the next update will have silencers :fuckyea: |

Just hit legendary eagle :fuckyea: |
M4A1-S and USP-S are live now. Also, items and chests are dropping now. Possibility that CS:GO will be going F2P |
im a top admin / old member of unity... one of the respected ones Posted via RS Mobile |
Finally won 10 Competitive matches lol ... lost a few, carried some, got owned in others. All random games, sometimes get teamed with 300 ping laggers, or just straight up douches/noobs. Rank: http://s11.postimg.org/42srzlxn3/gold3.jpg :notbad: |
