Nah there are a lot of services out there now. ESEA, CEVO, FaceIt to name a few. They run their own anti-cheat clients and you can do pugs, scrims, and ladders that way. ESEA is $6.95 where as CEVO and FaceIT are free. I haven't tried FaceIt but CEVO is a decent alternative to ESEA especially since it's free. ESEA also has a competitive league and different divisions where you can compete (Open, Intermediate, Main, Premiere, Invite). Quote:

i heard the teamspeak convo between the two of them. summit asked him how much is $36,000 for you and the guy was like its not really much, damn.. |
Yea that was pretty insane! Good for summit though. Also 1 more thing about ESEA is that it's 128 tick servers instead of 64 tick. |
Summit1g got another $750 on top of 38k. Edit: I'm down for an RS team. |
Damn, you guys seem pretty good. I'm only Nova 3 :( |

^^ geeeeeeeez. nice karambit |
I started playing competitive when I didnt know what I was doing, so stuck in silvers atm sadly lol. Any tips/advice to improve? |
I suggest playing with a team of people you can trust. I went from silver 3 to gold nova 3 with my team. We only improved and constantly won |
yes, get a team of friend to party with dont solo q |
Been playing gungame recently to familiarize myself with the guns/mechanics of the game. Currently unranked with like 4 wins, lol. |
Yea queuing with a couple of friends definitely helps. Whenever I play with a friend thats in Silver/Nova and the team doesn't do "well" i always find that people just leave 9/10 times. Sucks for people in that skill bracket that actually want to improve having to play a game 4v5 haha. There's a lot of things you can do to help improve aside from just playing competitive. Work on your aim, deathmatch every day to warm up, review your own demos and see what you could have done better, load up maps offline and practice your peaks/prefires/smokes/nades. And to take it even further, watch pro demos, pro matches and review them. Find your favorite player download their demo and see how they do things. Adren also has really good videos: https://www.youtube.com/user/CurseCS |
ill play a fun revscene league / scrim if you guys are DMG up Have to be competent on listening to strats though |
Adjust your sensitivity, dpi , dont rotate too fast, dont rush , play angles, get better , dont suck, most importantly.. communications. |
Im in to join.. DMG here.. But currently, ive been messing around in scrim and I've only used the P90 in the last 6+months. Almost hit 10K in scrim kills on the statrak. Waiting to complete that before going full ham with other guns again. |
