At this point I kind of wished they just focused their efforts on Half Life 3 and bring some new features to a full-fledged successor of counter-strike

- overhauled graphics on a new hl engine
- iron sights
- cover system
- hostages with AI

your wishlist is COD/bf3.

CS is all about strafe shooting, crouch shooting and understanding bullet patterns to aim well....iron sights would just ruin that..ugh no. cover system....nah...crouching is too vital and a key mark of CS. i do agree with the engine and hostages with AI would be neat i guess...maybe for single player

iron sights are part of the gun...not being able is silly these days. I played 1.6 for many years so I still don't use iron sights if I really dont need them...but I think it's necessary to evolve as shooter. Just because the game is competition oriented oesn't mean it should be excluded...perhaps exclude it in a hardcore mode?

Cover system may promote more camping...but it's honestly the key for a tactical shooter...maybe employ the system from the rainbow 6 vegas.

Scrimming/CALeague --> best game-times ever. Too bad competitive CS is down the drain and I doubt CS:GO can revive it.

Can't wait for CS:GO. GONNA BE NUTS.

It's still pretty competitive lol for sure not as crazy as before. CEVO main has shrunk, but open still is pretty populated

After CS:Source came out for Mac, this was exactly what it was like for a solid 6 months.

This is pretty close to an actual in-game conversation I had with some noob during that time period.

Newb - "omg wtf fkn wal hkrz"
