Yikes on price of Nexus S.

Relatively sure guys at Commercial had new activations at 319.99 or something like that.

d1 10-21-2011 10:39 PM

The nexus s goes for $300 brand new now.

Alphamale 10-21-2011 10:57 PM

yameen 10-21-2011 11:40 PM

guys at commercial were selling nexus S for about $300-320. i got my panache for $270 and they wouldn't budge lower.

GLOW 10-22-2011 07:54 AM

i gotta stop reading how much you guys are getting your nexus for. i walked in to a mob store and paid $350 for just the phone lol.

Mobi has a pretty good 14 days return policy. So if you're not too busy, why not return and get it for that much cheaper?

Jermyzy 10-22-2011 10:42 AM

Hm...still not sure if I should make the switch. I'm currently on fido pay-as-you-go paying only $10/month since I don't use it much. Thought about switching just so I can browse net and play games on my phone when I'm bored :p but the coverage is not good...

Try it out, you can always go back to the prepaid, not like itll go anywhere.

yameen 10-22-2011 10:54 AM

quick question. what happens if you're within the local area and suddenly you lose reception. so it goes into "emergency calls only", and I accidentally pressed the market button and it says roaming. it was only a few seconds, but do i get charged roaming in my local area if we lose reception?

any money in "my wallet"?

if not, dont worry, and if the market still worked, the phone may just of been slow at pickin up Mobis tower.

If you do have money in "my wallet"?

login to your online account and track your my wallet transactions, can always call cs for a credit back if anything.

Only problem is if I switch to Mobilicity, I would buy a smart phone like the Nexus S. If I don't like Moblicity, I'm stuck with the phone, I guess I could sell in the B&S. I'm wondering if I'm better off just sticking with my fido pre-paid and buy an ipod touch instead

Why not buy a used Nexus S and if you don't like the network, just resell for same price?

i bought the phone when it was 2 weeks in to the promo when it first started. plus it's 14 days, or x amount of talk minutes, or i think 10mb of data usage. i already broke that amount like the first day when i streamed a youtube video i think LOL

i just want there to be a way to hook the phone up to a TV to play videos like the galaxy S1 and i'd be pretty happy. i think ppl gave up on trying b/c i see ppl asking for it but none of the android geeks looking to make it happen.

Did you guys have to call in to rogers to cancel your contracts first or can mobilicity do it for you?

ShadowBun 10-22-2011 02:14 PM

just port in your number @ mobilicity and wait for the bill
thats all.

dont call in to cancel, or you lose your number,

the whole point of porting is to keep your number right?

calling into your current provider, telling them your gonna cancel or switch, puts a hold on your number, which in turn BLOCKS others from Porting it out to them.

DO NOT CALL IN. unless you need your account number. that is all.
