i paid $240 from a guy that waited from midnight to 10am at NCIX lol, i wouldnt pay anything over that i think

although if HP does infact continue to support it and it eventually becomes breakable with android etc. having a 32gb tablet for almost half the price of others could make it worth it

I received my Touch Pad cases today in the mail. If that wasn't enough, I found out that our prices have dropped for staff and now the case only cost me $9 each LOL.

I'm late to the party, do you think it's still possible to get my hands on one?

It won't be possible for you to get one unless you spend above market value...

I honestly don't think there is any "wait list" at any store...the term wait-list is a crowd control measure...It's a way of providing people with some comfort for a little while as the trend blows over...With a imaginary wait list, the customer at least things that the store TRIED to get them the product and simply couldn't due to circumstances out of their hands.

It's also against a lot of store's policy to "wait list" products. It's a first come first serve basis and unless rain checks or layaways are allowed, a wait list is not something stores generally produce, use and follow through with.

Wait another month and chances are you will be able to buy it for market price seeing as the market is flooded with over priced touchpads the no one wants to buy.

Patience is key

I have a feeling once people drop off buying these things opportunist sellers will start unloading the touchpads at a much cheaper price. I have a feeling that the blackberry tablet prices dropping will help with that as well.

That's what I'm thinking off. Especially since HP is sending another shipment soon. And people who are looking for touchpads will definitely aim for that. After that, most people who want a touchpad will have one in their hands.

Not to mention, other people who want to buy the touchpad are now changing their mind and are now waiting for the playbook.

Blackberry is already unloading its price for its Touch Pad. They're going a new direction and will be trying to get rid of this current one pretty soon.

However, for those who have played with it, the Play Book is one of the WORST tablets out there. It's incredibly slow and laggy.

The current price is $150 less than what it originally was and this is a permanent price reduction. It can only go lower from here...

I also managed to find 3 more HP Touch Pad cases sitting in the back and snagged them as soon as I could lol.

Playbook is such a fail.

I wish these big companies would thoroughly test their products before rush releasing to the public. Even the unmodded HP touchpad was a fail.. I don't understand how anyone thought releasing that touchpad was a good idea, considering how slow and laggy the thing was before all the preware tweaks.

Every week they delay a product, the less money they are projected to make. It's the same reason why buggy PC games were released first and patches applied weeks/months later. Money was the primary driver of when a product was released, and it worked because everyone else operated the same way. Triangle: cost, quality, time.

Then consumer expectations changed, particularly within the mainstream, because Apple established a new benchmark, and old habits die hard with some of these managers.
