Even though it's discontinued, you won't get anything as good as a Touchpad for that price. The open source community is determined to keep it going

Just called Kingsway branch, apparently that store HAS stock but it's reserved for people who prepaid 3 weeks ago and is picking them up now since their shipment came in.
Lougheed branch said the same thing.
Yep pretty much all stores are out...
However the guy at the west broadway branch told me if you're desperate enough for one, you can literally wait out the day for one. If customers cancel their order you can buy one on a first come first serve basis lol

Yeah I decided I am not going to buy it for $240... the price keeps going up from $99 to $150, then add tax.. then DirectDial comes along and it's $150 for a 16GB
Now TSC has a deal where you have to buy a bunch of extra crap that inflates the price to $240 after all is said and done? 
Unless you REALLY want a tablet, I would skip this one.

the kingsway/joyce branch employee was honest enough to say that if even a unit was up grabs, the consumer would have no chance at one. all the stores have employee on the top of the waitlist to snag one. so i guess even if customers cancel their order, there's zero chance of you getting one unless all those employee's that were on the wait list didn't show up for work that day haha
he said they got a network going for all the stores, employees from other branches are calling each other to hook each other up. sooooooo

That's actually not a bad price for the XOOM considering it's $499 new and the dock itself is like $60 or something?
I've played around with the demos at work and it doesn't seem too bad of a tablet.
