"HP Touchpad
So the word is that cyanogenmod team is looking into doing a dual boot with Gingerbread/WebOS for Touchpad. Again no ETA (so don't ask) but everyone is optimistic. Stay tuned. If anyone wants to offer a Touchpad at cost please contact me. As you can imagine it's hard to develop software when devs don't have enough devices."

| HP's fire sale on the TouchPad tablet computer exhausted inventories for good in Canada, while the U.S. is still waiting for the next shipments -- but the company said consumers shouldn't hold their breath.
Major electronics retailers sold out nearly instantly, but HP confirmed it still has more to push down the channel -- except in Canada. TouchPad Sale Update: 'Don't Rush,' Says HP - International Business Times |

I think they'll get shipped. The e-mail made it clear that everyone who ordered before Aug 22 would receive theirs.
I'm also hoping the HP Store will call me since I put my name down on the waitlist. The waitlist isn't guaranteed but last time I called they were about halfway through the 14 pages of names lol.

Anyone hear back from directdial? They said they would be PHONING customers to confirm (yes I know, phoning in 2011), but I used my Canadian address and # so I am worried they will try calling and cancel my order... That would supremely piss me off.

when hp says order made before aug22 would be shipped, does this include purchases made on the 22nd as well?

ANyone got any good case recommendations? While the HP one seems pretty good (esp for $20!), I wouldn't mind trying something else.

It turned out I preferred WebOS over the Samsung Touchwiz. Sure the hardware was super sexy, but the software didn't really feel like it justified the $600 price tag. I couldn't believe I decided to keep the Touchpad. Browsing the web on the 10.1. Multitasking lust didn't feel as good either. And 100,000 apps doesn't really matter considering there aren't a ton of Android apps optimized for tablets, and that typically I'd have like 10-20apps on my devices.
90% of the time I like to use tablet for surfing web, email, and facebook (Android doesn't have a dedicated facebook app? or am I nuts?). And I would argue that the Touchpad is better at that, than the Tab 10.1 esp at $99. | ^this.
The FB app for Android tablets suck. Honeycomb was described by one of my coworkers as "the Vista of Android"...didn't agree at first, but I'm starting to go towards that too.
For reference, I own both the Touchpad as well as the Asus Transformer.

My second order is 1378XX and it only changed to admin status on the 26th when I placed the order on saturday around 6 pm.
My docking station was bought on the 26th and it has a 145XXX number and is still in submitted status.
