Hey, if you guys want a relatively cheap night out.

Jo Koy (comedian) is in town Nov 28, 2025. His tickets are like $50 (all in) for lower bowl at Rogers.

I guess he's not selling very well right now, but for $50 it's a good excuse to have a night out Downtown.

I know some of you guys are or have been doggo owners, really sad day today I lost my little puppy earlier in the evening... she was over 19 years old so a really long life, been around for half of mine. Lived 6 years with a cancerous sarcoma believe it or not. Cuts deep. I miss her so much already

Losing a dog is horrible. The most awful thing I've ever had to endure. Made 1000x worse by my active decision to put him down. The guilt of deciding their life or death is something you really never get over. At least in your puppy's case, she went on her own terms, and that in itself is a blessing. Also, you were there with her till the end and im sure she's there looking over you forever onwards.

Its been over a year since we lost Monty in sept and i still think of him every day. i still top up his food bowl, i still talk to his stuffed version like he's still around. I even take glass vial of his hair everywhere we go. Took that vial to HK, the US, Australia, etc.

It'll take some time to process this grief. When youre ready, you'll find your own way to memorialize your pup. I got big ass prints made, and this stuffed dog. they do a pretty good job (although it took like 3 months and it was about 400 dollars)

https://cuddleclones.com/products/cu..._source=google

^ the lotto tickets are so Monty can tell me what the winning numbers are and then i can use the money to clone him and bring him back to life. Also to take over the world.

Losing a dog is tough, not everyone understands how tough either. In some ways, it's worse because we always see them as our kids and you aren't supposed to see your kids pass away before you do. Condolences

Losing a dog is tough. My first dog passed early at 6 years old, I was depressed for quite awhile. I hope you feel better soon dude

I was at Richmond Center a few weeks ago, and the Lego store is packed with ballin parents buying big a$$ boxes of Legos for their 7 or 8 yrs old. Didn't someone recently say McArthur Glenn was packed with SE Asians?

I've always been under the impression that BC has gob tons of people that doesn't need to work.
I think fast fashion, semi-premium retail, and off-price does really well in BC.

Go to any TJX store at any time of the day in the Lower Mainland and it's full of middle-aged women just browsing and filling their baskets full of random crap. Parking lots in any TJX in the suburbs are full of crossovers. In terms of my own shopping, I have found really good deals at off-price over the years (and not just outlet-brand clothing that is specifically made for off-price), so I can see the appeal especially if you're not a working slave and have all of the time in the world.

There's always people at Aritzia, Lulu, Zara.

It's probably HELOCs and a lot of underground economy feeding retail.

What's your guys thoughts on dirty soda's? It's soda's mixed with creme, syrups and other toppings. It's really big in Utah because mormans can't drink alcohol. The US has multiple dirty soda chains. Kelowna has 2 Dirty soda shops and Vancouver has a dirty soda food truck.

Mormons can’t have caffeine either so if they are gonna break the rules they should do it in a less stupid way.

You mean Dirty Pop since we're in Canada?

First I've heard of it, looks disgusting tbh like someone jizzed in my coke.

I don't think it's going to go over too well here, we're all way more health conscious and we've been moving away from soda pop/fruit juice/full sugar bbts for years now. Why would we be willing to add more sweeteners to an already unhealthy drink?

I can't remember if it was also in Utah but some guy was interviewed because he drinks like 2-3L of zero sugar sodas every single day. He has Costco runs where the entire car is loaded to the ceiling with just pop.

General rule in life is that anything in excess isn't good for you. Zero sugar/sugar alternative drinks very likely are not an exception either. So if people are adding more sweeteners, cream and other shit to an already full sugar drink then they will see consequences sooner rather than later.

And yeah, like mentioned above, here in BC we are already a pretty health conscious population. I do not see dirty soda companies making a killing up here.

One of the weirdest things I found about visiting Salt Lake City:

-The bars/pubs make you provide your passport as a Canadian to order a drink, thought that was stupid as fuck.
-The bottles behind the bar have a special calibrated measuring system that is attached to the bottle so that the bartender can't overpour a drink. Bars are also monitored periodically to adhere to this policy. This is also jarring when you're used to free pours in many places in the US.
-Have to order food with cocktails, and can only have one cocktail on your table per person at a time.

Cousin fucking weirdos those Mormons are.

It's actually really clean, as if Ned Flanders ran the city.

The rest of Utah however, especially the south is a must visit if you enjoy desert landscapes.

It's an easy pass.

Clean city for sure, but creepy and hallow, downtown is like a ghost town after 6PM. I can't describe the vibe, something is just...off.

Everywhere outside of SLC in Utah is wicked though, Moab is definitely worth checking out.
