Never had a problem meeting or "acquiring" women, however I'm hearing these complaints from a lot of guys nowadays, this problem has even bled into my own relationship expectation issues (as I've spoken to my own detriment here before)

This is yet another great point to make, but perhaps not for the reason you might suspect. Men's content online (whether toxic in nature or not) is about self improvement and bettering yourself. Work out, get yourself into a higher paying job, grow your wealth, improve your style.

Women's content is more about enabling each other's bad habits and justifying the demands they make. You don't have to look far to see how true this is. Any women who call out the bad actors are immediately labelled as pick me girls and blasted by other women simply for pointing out the hypocrisy and awful advice being given by other women.

I had a very long stretch of looking for a partner unsuccessfully and after awhile I realized my guy friends were right. Stop taking advice from women when it comes to dating. Work on yourself, assert yourself and find someone who's compatible with you and has the same long term goals. That's the best advice I can give to anyone who's still single here.

Anyway hopefully in the original context of "girls expect ____ income", that's coming from a place of them hustling in their own career, and kind of using that as a rough proxy for how like-minded their partner might be.

Seems reasonable that somebody who's going aggressively after their career goals, might not see eye to eye with someone who's content to simply live in the moment and enjoy things as they come (which is fine, just a different pace and preference).
