Left a note on their driver window telling them they park like an asshole and to stop backing up into my space because I can't park properly. Made a point to emphasize they had a football field of space in front of their car.
The parking spots were originally meant for handicap drivers, but they repurposed them as normal spots.
Sent new pics to strata and this time they said they are going to paint a line.

If i were to guess:
People/companies have less money to spend, less upgrades to their systems.
Stonk market isnt "as good" as it has been, more hesitation to take savings and use them.
Cities are tightening budgets.
To compare to owning a car: if your poor, you might stretch that oil change to 10,000kms instead of 5k. If your tire fails, you might DIY patch it, instead of replacing it.
We are seeing the same in hvac, stratas are not spending the money on suggested repairs. Most companies i have friends at, all say this year/last year is a fair amount slower than usual.

So will a hvac guy drop their prices so I'm not paying an arm and a leg to upgrade to heat pumps? | Low end / new companies, yes.
When i was working in new zealand last year doing hvac, the company i was working for, was losing bids to companies that were much further away.
Ex: company 2hrs away in auckland would bid 500$ cheaper, and customer would choose them. NZ was hit pretty good by the slowdown.

seems to be a big debate on the actual population of China. i’m seeing its more like 1/2 of what its been reported as? also some strong evidence there’s no possible way it couldve grown to what it supposed to be at in the amount of time given.

as with anything in China, take it with a grain of salt. The government will not expose any weakness or faltering on anything. Population is key to China's power (how else can they continue to make cheap shit with cheap skilled labour?) at least until their robits are capable of taking over menial tasks.

How do you have so much population growth with a 1 child policy that's been the case for 40 years. You have a whole 3 generations of decline built in.

Looks like it took a long time for the 1 child policy to really really take effect - fertility was above 2 till the early 90s and didn't hit 1 till the last 3-4 years which is when we did see reported population to be dropping. The median age of the population is skyrocketing though so people are living much longer and way less children are being born.
Maybe they're not at 1.4b like they say but India, which doesn't have any population controls, has been growing like wild and has overtaken China as the most populated country so I think it's believable that China, even with a 1 child policy in place, is near 1.4b.
Edit: India's data: https://www.worldometers.info/world-...ia-population/ - interesting that we used to say that the replacement rate was 2.1 yet we have India under 2 and they're still growing at nearly 1% a year. I assume this is all about life expectancy increasing really fast (not surprising).

Logically, the replacement rate ought to be 2.something because we need 2 children to "replace" the 2 parents that will eventually die. And then you have to have a little more child births to account for the unfortunate but inevitable cases where the child will die before reaching adulthood. It's just that with an increasing life expectancy, the duration for the replacement has been stretched out over a somewhat longer period.
Then again, I seem to recall that since COVID and now the anti-vaccine movement as well as drug crisis, life expectancy in the US has dropped by a noticeable amount. A quick google search seems to say that in the US, it has dropped by 2.7 years compared to 2020, with it sitting at the lowest level since 1996 at 76.1 years old. https://www.unc.edu/discover/u-s-lif...than-pandemic/
