I checked craigslist yesterday and there were many people selling and wanting to buy upasses. Now all the ads are gone.

How would you rank terms of first year/second year in difficulty?

Depends on which engineering discipline you select. As an electrical engineering student myself, I can assure you that second year will be exponentially more difficult than first year (even if you don't find the coursework conceptually difficult, the lab/projects are fucking killer. it's common to see the labs packed at 2am the week before project demos). I hear mech and eng phys also have brutal second year curriculums including a shitload of lab work and very little sleep. I'm in third year now... The hours arn't much better, the course work is more difficult than second year, but I'm glad I don't have to sleep in the lab anymore LOL

I'm not familiar with the other engineering disciplines but I highly doubt any of the second year curriculums will be easier than first year, atleast in terms of course difficulty. However, I feel like the hardest part about first year is learning how to discipline yourself and study without any supervision, so taking that into account, second year might actually be "easier" for you. Just hang in there... If you can make it through second year you're basically guaranteed that degree, unless you choose to switch majors yourself, as opposed to getting weeded out. Best of luck! PM me if you have any more questions.

Where is the best place to park near the Golds Gym at UBC? I don't mind paying a few dollars

Year 4 registration FTW!

And well, CLST105 has no pre-req and it's all just roman and greek mythology so it should be a fun course
