We could say that about your car.

"one less rice rocket off the road"
"one less bad driver on the road"
"one less kid with illegal HID's on the road"

Just saying....

It's peoples property. Paid for by blood, sweat and tears. Some of these bikes are probably worth more than alot of RS'ers cars.

If I had witnissed that, I would have said something. People generally don't want to get involved, but if someone says something, I'm pretty sure others would take notice and do something.

What would have happened if some dude started to kick that guy's ass? And, then a dozen people join in, LOL. News crew gonna step in and try to stop it?

the guy has his hoodie on trying to look suspicious, he's most likely stealing a bike. more wise, or bigger pussy??

and most of our cars are worth more then their bikes..

don't need no cyclists using my hood as a rest stop at a red light.

Lesson is if your getting raped in an dark alley scream fire if you want any help.
In psychology terms, it is called the bystander effect. Especially in the downtown core where it's busy, everyone expects someone to do something about it.

I was disappointed that there was no one good samaritan that stopped him throughout the entire experiment.

We are told by cops to not get involved.

Bank robberies? Give the cash.
Break-ins? Do not confront.
Get raped? Enjoy the moment.

Stolen bike? Find a good deal on craigslist.

I remember back doing volunteer work at a elementary and seeing 2 old guys literally walk outside across all the classrooms while carrying the entire bike RACK with a few bikes still locked up on it.
Nobody did anything

I'd like to see this done with someone kidnapping a kid instead. Nobody gives a shit about someone's bike. Who is going to risk getting whacked in the head by a bolt cutter for someone's cheap bike?

But it would be interesting to see what people would do if he grabbed a kid and started running off with them
