Depends on what you are looking for. Certain hardware can tell you the power draw because they have a built-in ammeter inside their ICs, ie. videocard, mono, etc. If you have them you can see what how much DC power those components are consuming. Fans, HDDs would not be factored in. If your hardware doesnt offer this feature, you're SOL and the only solution is to buy a kill-a-watt

For true power draw, which factors in PSU loss and every single item down to the last LED, you'd want a kill-a-watt that measures AC power being pulled by your PC.

CrystalDiskInfo can tell you some basic disk info about the drive, but I'm not sure how much it can check the disk.

Check to see if anything is wrong with it. I think I narrowed it down to the SSD having problems...

Looking for a good deal on a z77 mobo. It's freaking impossible since places started to liquidate their stock.

Right now, it looks like NCIX has the best deal for an asrock z77 extreme4.

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70902&...k&promoid=1062

Actually PMing BestDirect for $149.XX and then getting rebate of $30 seems okay.

I'm thinking of going with a 4670k instead of 3770k and just go with a z87 mobo.

hey guys, wrote on last page no response... upgrading my vid card and did about a day or so of research, settled on 770 GTX, do I get the 2gb or the 4gb ??
I don't have some crazy resolution computer monitor, I got my PC hooked up to my 60 inch LED and it's set at 1080p, do I need 4gb for that? and I don't mean just now, I mean for the next year or two, for future games coming out ?

also is there a better option like newer cards coming out soon ? or a price drop or something I'm not aware of ? the game I've been waiting for comes out on Sept 3rd, so I wanna be ready by then, thanks

^ 4GB is not required for your setup. It is mostly for those who are using high resolution triple monitor for gaming.

as for the choice of GTX 770, its a good choice. Too bad its out of my budget. =[

^ thanks for quick reply, yea well I'm selling my 660 gtx ti, so that at least takes a bit of the sting out of my wallet.
But so you're saying as long as I stay gaming at 1080p, I won't be bottlenecked by the 2gb's ? even in future games like Battlefield 4, etc... ??

I have heard bf may use up 3Gb of vram, but I bet it is under high resolution. Honestly you will not have to worry. 2gb is plenty enough for even triple monitor even on high settings . with your setup only bring 1080, u will be fine.

you'll be fine for the time being...and I'd bet probably 90% of the titles in the next few years are the same...however there's no telling because future consoles have unified memory which can be used up to 5-6 GBs (system and frame buffer)

Honestly I'd get a HD7950/7970 3GB 384-bit bandwidth to play it safe if I have "futureproofing" in mind...if you have a bit more money and must stick with nvidia then 780 also works.

Rome 2 is gon be epic! Never played the series but it looks great...I've shogun 2 but never installed it.
