Still doesn't change the fact that it's one hell of an expensive t-shirt

But then again, I'm the type of guy that typically goes to Footlocker and buy half a dozen tshirts for $20.

I rarely spend more than $15-30 on a t-shirt, and I don't think it's that expensive to spend $30 for a shirt from Japan that you normally can't get, and is only sold for a short time, and has a cool design, and is related to a subject I am a fan of. I have even paid upwards of $60-70 for one or two.

High side of my budget maybe, but not "hell of an expensive shirt" by any stretch. Have you seen what the idiots are paying for shirts from India, Bangladesh, and Laos, then showing off in the "fashion" forum? And that's all because they are following trends on blogs and in magazines, instead of thinking for themselves. Now THAT is what I call a "hell of an expensive" shirt

Uniqlo t-shirts are $10 a piece in stores. Maybe $12-15 sometimes for the "special" ones. That's dirt cheap. I've been wanting them to get a store in Vancouver since I got my first taste of that store in Japan in '08. Great shirts, decently made and cheap...like Old Navy cheap but Uniqlo has cooler stuff. On occasion, some designers create a cheap collection through the Uniqlo brand.

Normal Price for uniqlo shirts is 1500 yen, with tax that's about $23 cad. Not $10 lol. And that's the middle rate. Buying jpy from an exchange or bank, it's more like $26. Use your credit card and it can be $30 or more. They do discounts on occasion, sometimes even lower than 1000 yen. The days where you could do jpy exchange in your head by knocking off the last two zeroes are long gone, sadly

Maybe it was a sale but I'm sure I bought a whole load of Uniqlo shirts for 990 yen a piece. Dammit, you were probably there...

Yup like I said, price can go down during sales. When they are clearing it can get down to like 500 yen! That's rare though.
