Just saw report on evening news. One of the organizers (term used loosley here) says, "Yeah, we're moving to a location that might be more sympathetic to our cause." LOL. They were met with angry people from the neighbourhood. One of them said, "This is a park for kids. Are you a kid?" I LOL'd. Most of them are like kids. I was hoping to see a good ol' East Van rumble, but nope, the yahoos left for home - shelters and whatnot.

They were better off downtown. Like WTF? Did they think they could take over a park in Little Italy? Organizers are a bunch of doh heads. What neighbourhood is going to stand by and see tents being set up? Especially when it is so poorly organized. Party's over, people, move on! You had your moment in the lime light, now get the fuck off the stage!

According to the 11pm news, city managers showed up with general public who were disgusted with the OV people camping at Grandview Park. After a few hours, all the OV people left.

For those that didn't know, over $2M was spent in the past few years to fix/upgrade this east van park.

Just announced that #OccupyVancouver will stop the 24-hour camping and instead meet at the VAG for general assembly. They're also talking about moving to doing community outreach and helping the homeless.

Maybe they'll actually do something now but then again, apparently there were only ~50 people at the last GA.
