I have test driven a Hyundai and would never drive one or put my family in that tin can. They are cheap for a reason.

Hyundai/Genesis are still young companies. The Genesis Coupe is a huge step up and I think it looks nicer than an STi. Nissan's 350Z and the bunch was the result of DECADES of research.

The automotive industry is an extremely demanding and competitive arena. Hyundai had to start somewhere, and that was to start small with lower end cars. Give them a chance to prove themselves!

Its not like the OP was like, look sons of bitches i got a fawking sports car that is better and faster than the sti, supra, 370, evo and the others. don't understand why someone needs to be criticized for getting something that he/she wanted.. and maybe thought would be better than said vehicles above..

hyundai has grown so much within the last decade, i'm not gonna be surprised if they continue to improve their quality and eventually be par or better than the competitions.

Well he didn't buy the car himself so my respect was lowered at that poinT. I believe in working hard and paying for things by yourself.

its common sense to get a nissan over a BMW, MBENZ AND VDUB? didnt know nissan was better than the 3 most top selling german brands around the world. Dunno about you but id rather have a 335ci over a Z....a C250 coupe over a Z.....and a Passat CC over a Z. This thread aint stupid, your stupid.

Sad to hear man, I was raised in Germany and actually know their quality and damn it's sad... It's worst then Asian with a higher labor cost... Lol btw all Audi n vdubz are prone to fail u at 250k and above for endless maintenance... It's same as paying for Versace made in Taiwan for 7$ and paying here for 350$ it's monopoly with te brand name... Never ever will u see any German car being in tune to perfection without daily adjustments to keep it running.

I'd even get a Hyundai over a Audi or vdub... Beemer n Benz I'd make an exception tho cause of the smooth design.

ive seen bmw, audi, vdub and mercs with upwards of 600000km....infact in turkey ( the country) theres still diesel W122s and W123 used as taxi cabs. That have over 1mill km and still going strong.

i wouldn't worry too much on mods yet, judging by your circumstances you should pay off your car first and then mod. don't spend all your money on mods or a couple years down the road you'll ask yourself how come my car isn't paid off yet. lol

i drive euros every time i punch in for work, so you don't have to pull the "don't knock it til you've tried it" card. give me something in my car's price range (ie the 328) and the choice for me is clear cut

For me I need/want to buy a car with safety in mind and not just pure performance. As for the same price range, I would pick out the Golf R that is coming out soon for performance and build quality.

But I will definately wont be buying or driving a Hyundai in my lifetime. I sooner drive a GM,Dodge or Ford.
