ya i spoke to couple of futureshops and bestbuys stores, they average about 500 copies available for midnight and all day of tuesday..

whats in the special edition other than map poster? dlc stuff?

midnight launches will not sell out. If any of you have any connections to anyone working in FS or BBuy, they're stocked up for quite a bit lol

is there a distinct difference between the PS3 or 360 version?

i loaded up my PS3 just to make sure it's still working lol and stuck in GTA4, and it looks like shit almost to the point where i think somthing may be wrong with the PS3 so thinking maybe i should go with the 360?

if you're willing to wait for a PC port do that

i'm gonna buy the ps3 version for singleplayer then get the PC version when it's cheap for online/mods

Yea, I'm all about PC gaming but I've only ever played GTA's on consoles so probably end up with PS3

I said I would most likely wait for a PC version, and after finally seeing what the game looks like on console in the form of video reviews, I will definitely wait.

Although I did slog through Red Dead Redemption, and it was worth it in the end... GTA IV was getting the same amount of hype as this, which died down once people realised how shitty it was about halfway through. I'll wait and see what the long term reactions are.

game costs 88 at major retailers
Blockbuster and Video EZY (think of it as Rogers) are selling it for 64.50 (which is actually cheaper than Canada... because prices here are tax incl.)

I got to the major retailers (dick smith), request a price match and they call the place, and warp it into some bullshit that goes against their price matching policy.
Basically. The Blockbuster store is "not the same type of store" because it offers rentals on top of the sales. and also because Blockbuster is having a sale on the game right now - and Dick smith only offers PM on non-sale items.

I pre ordered the game only cause I needed to trade in my 2013 sports game before their trade value fell and it was the safest game to pick, I only remembered when an automated call came in reminding me to make sure I come in on Monday night for the midnight release ... lol, I'll probably go in after work and pick it up, I don't really need to have the game that badly ... reviews are insanely high for this iteration of the game, not sure how you can get away with scores that essentially say it is the greatest game ever made (GTA IV got the same scores and I honestly was disappointed with it after the story just abruptly finished and the game ended for me when it felt like I was only halfway thru it) ... wonder if they can really back up those scores ...

got my copy from best buy at metro last night. decided to drop by at 1230 to see how the line up was. Got out of there with the game by 1:00. Not bad.

PC version is far from confirmed, let alone a date. That XML file from yesterday or the day before was a major stretch to use as a source as well. Or did you find something more solid today>
