I finally got onto the multiplayer yesterday by deleting the "title update" and then reinstalling it. it didnt work the first few times but after a while it finally worked because i was always getting stuck at the first race mission with Lamar

I completely agree. I went out of my way and migrated to the PS3 just to play with some friends, and have been left disappointed so far. Some missions are cool, but I'm hoping they bring bigger gameplay updates in the future.

people are saying their save accounts got resetted after the patch on xbox last night and everyones back to level 1 now

weird singleplayer issue on PS3

the horn (L3) sometimes makes my player exits the car when the car is still moving

doesn't happen 100% of the time either...settings are default :suspicious:

I'm about to give up on this GTA Online thing.

- Took 1 day to create character
- Took 2 days just to get online
- Took 3 days just to finish first race
- Finally got online and played for about 30 mins before I had to stop
- Now I haven't been able to play anymore than 5 mins online the last 2 days before getting "booted by other players" wtf?

if your having trouble getting online theres about 2-4 different ways of trying. Sometimes it takes a game/console restart or you gotta wait a bit.


first 2 days were glitchy as hell
3rd day managed to level my guy up to level 13
4th day character gets deleted and I have to restart
today - went online for about an hour before the cloud server disconnected and havent been able to go online since lol

What's the best way to get money and gain level's?
I got $65k from doing races and missions.. but that takes longgg. Some jobs you only get 1k or less.

with the new patch they disabled the replay missions button HOWEVER there is still a way to replay missions

At level 15, players will gain access to a job named Violent Duct. It is a brief mission, in which players kill a gang, steal their dropped drugs and then deliver them to their employer. The mission can be done in as little as 45 seconds if you're moving fast and yields $9000. Repeating this mission can net you over $400,000 per hour. Players who are below level 15 can still help out in the mission also, so long as the leader is above the required level and can activate the mission. If you are looking for fast, easy money, it is highly suggested you seek this out and repeat it as often as you can tolerate it.

. It might seem that as of the most recent Title Update, the ability to replay this(and other) jobs has been removed, but this is not the case. After the mission has finished, like/dislike/no vote the mission as usual, but instead of hitting the proper button to continue, hit the "fire weapon" button (RT on Xbox 360) to repeat the mission

violent duct doesn't pay 9k anymore and you can't restart a mission if you've beaten it :(

Just did that mission today too, and I only got 3k wtf.

on the other hand, once you reach level 15, grab some friends and do a survival mission. pass it and get 20k!

I was lucky enough to abuse the violent duct the night before it patched with a couple buddies.. Made half a mill in two and a half hours LOL bought myself a crib and a banshee. Apt 57 for 223k and a banshee for a hundred. Is anyone on rs lvl 45?

A new title update to address the reported issues of game progress loss in GTA Online as well as other technical fixes, tweaks and enhancements is now available for PlayStation 3, and we expect it to be available by tomorrow at the latest for Xbox 360. This title update will resolve the cause of players losing their gameplay progress except for some specific instances where players purchase a vehicle and the save does not occur due to a cloud save failure. A fix for that particular issue is being worked on and we will provide an update as soon as we know when this will be resolved.

Fixes in this title update include:

Fixes multiple issues causing character deletion or other loss of progress
Fixes issues causing infinite loading, infinite sky cams, and missing interface options between jobs
Fixes an issue causing the "replay" option to be locked out on certain jobs
Fixes an issue where a player would become stuck in the mod garage when respraying a Sanchez motor bike
Fixes an issue where the Player became stuck inside Los Santos Customs during Online tutorial flow.
Fixes an issue causing the loss of guns and ammo
Fixes issues causing GTA races ending early because of players spawning too far ahead
Fixes issues in Last Team Standing where sessions would not progress past the lobby

I managed to get about 300k on violent duct before they patched it lol now u only get $3000 and about 750xp, used to be 9k and 1000 or 1500 xp I believe.

just bought the most expensive apartment and reach level 25 lol. Broke as Fuck now at least I have the ak47 + sniper rifle and apartment lol
