doesn't seem like its that far off in the future.

Yes, but right here, right now, do we predict that Microsoft will be the brand on these great products?

Will they even make the software that runs someone else's great hardware?

See that's what I don't get.

Look at the kinda people Microsoft hires. People who graduate at the top of their class, with Masters or PhD degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, people who repeatedly win coding competitions and lead software development teams in their spare time. And even then, probably only after they've gotten 5-15 years' of industry experience with proven project wins under their belt, working for only the most successful top companies.

So how the fuck is it that they have only hired the best of the best, and yet Microsoft software is among the most unreliable, unoriginal, unusable shit we've ever seen.. and they've had 15 years to work at it?!

What the fuck is going on in there??

edit: 25 years!

We can.

Seriously we can have almost anything these days. It's just whether anyone's willing to pay for it.

That and everything's locked down with patents. If you think of something you can bet some other fucker's already patented it years ago. But it'll never see the light of day because 99% of the time, people have no intention of following through. They just want to see if they can troll the corporations for some licensing money.

Typical Microsoft - selling software/hardware that are too complicated and filled with useful but unsorted information, made by software/hardware engineers that are too out of touch with "everyday joe", and sold to people as solutions to problems that don't really exist.

These are the same idiot everyday joes that believe in those antivirus scams. "Problems that don't exist" is more of an apple problem. They deny your computer was infected with a virus if you bring it in.

I lol'd at the guy playing the guitar's image at the subway station. Isn't the whole point to play LIVE in front of an audience?

That's an interactive advertisement. Meaning that ads in the subway (or wherever), can interact with your mobile device that allows you to purchase their products directly; rather than say... going to a ticket vendor (ie. Ticketmaster) and navigating through lists of events to find the event you're searching. Basically, its just streamlining our current conveniences even further.

This tech just looks like a more convenient way of doing things we can already do

Where are those damn jetpacks I was hoping to see in the future? and not those big chunky ones we have now that lasts for 2 seconds

Remember this:
We are only 9 years away! That thing charges itself and senses chemicals in the air, like having a pocket sized blood hound that speaks english...I have a feeling I would be dissappointed again though

At least I know for certain my collection of cuban cigars will prove its worth with more years of aging
