Will they even make the software that runs someone else's great hardware? |
See that's what I don't get. Look at the kinda people Microsoft hires. People who graduate at the top of their class, with Masters or PhD degrees in Computer Science and Engineering, people who repeatedly win coding competitions and lead software development teams in their spare time. And even then, probably only after they've gotten 5-15 years' of industry experience with proven project wins under their belt, working for only the most successful top companies. So how the fuck is it that they have only hired the best of the best, and yet Microsoft software is among the most unreliable, unoriginal, unusable shit we've ever seen.. and they've had 15 years to work at it?! What the fuck is going on in there?? edit: 25 years! |

Seriously we can have almost anything these days. It's just whether anyone's willing to pay for it. That and everything's locked down with patents. If you think of something you can bet some other fucker's already patented it years ago. But it'll never see the light of day because 99% of the time, people have no intention of following through. They just want to see if they can troll the corporations for some licensing money. |
Typical Microsoft - selling software/hardware that are too complicated and filled with useful but unsorted information, made by software/hardware engineers that are too out of touch with "everyday joe", and sold to people as solutions to problems that don't really exist. |
