the blocked number part is kinda iffy but nothing else is. they are outsouced companies that call you to sell third party insurance and things like that. just say no and hang up or else they will try to call you back. their contract specifies to call as many times as needed. i kept getting calls from mbna - the number showed up but was private. after 5 attempts i picked up and it was a lady in an india call centre tryingto sell me mbna shit. i said no thanks and thats that

im assuming ur in highschool.

a bit passed high school but close enough.. i thought it was the original credit card company that tries to sell you insurance for if you lost your job and cant pay your credit card then you dont get charged interest or something... is this what the "outsources" are trying to sell me?

Think about it:

Would you give a stranger on the street your personal information? No? If so, why would you give it to some random person on the phone?

That you guys even have to ASK, smh.

Was I the only one that thought gretzky was joking/being sarcastic when he asked what outsourcing was?

I thought it was meant to be a cheeky comment but apparently it's not.

My credit card company always calls from a blocked number. Im guessing they're based in Quebec since the messages they leave are always in French. lol.

I usually end up getting calls from TD from a weird number, but it ends up being legit. Mainly it's them trying to sell some new program, but once it was for a suspicious (nice of them to keep an eye on it). As for the scammers' purchases, check if your credit card has a zero liability line in the features, or something like it.
