I just bought a tv 2 weeks ago. It was the sharp vs samsung. The samsung won because it just looked better. ( My previous lcd was a sharp and was a very good tv)

read about some light leak issues with samsung led tvs. its in the corners.

I think there are always a few good deals to be had around boxing day, but you might have to camp outside or battle some crowds for them.. so I guess it depends how badly you want/need it.

ended up going to openbox and picking up the 40NX711

fuck is it a sweet tv for that price, the Bravia engine is 100% better 120hz then ive seen on samsung TV's [does not look like that forced motion] and the look of the TV itself is awsome, completely glass front face, light up sony logo such as the XBR line has always had

super happy with it and for the price i'm extra happy considering my buddy paid around 1650 for a similar model brand new about 1.5-2 years ago
