How many different levels of Lordco pricing are there? And...what do the percentages off list go to on those levels? Basically, what is the Lordco system? |
^^ Goodluck ever figuring that out. I doubt the people who work there know all the discounts even. Every shop can have a different percentage, which also depends on the product you want. (Like oil, staff doesn't even get a discount on oil. Yet if an "un-named" company buys drums/barrells they get a nice discount because of the quantity.) |

Is it all negotiated on a per account basis? And whats this level 7 thing people are talking about? I mean, I negotiate accounts for building materials, but it never seems as complicated as lordco. They peg me as big or small, and given that I don't already have an account, I'm classed as small. Here's the discount and off you go. If you feel you've bought enough, a rep calls you up and you threaten to leave. If you buy enough, they make you want to stay. I feel at Lordco, there is a secret handshake that if I twist around three times, pop pop, snap and clap I get to actually buy something without the rape. |

ok, i got some time to chime in. lordco has 4 different price "levels" level 1: full list/retail (revscene is full list minus 30%) level 2: suggested list/retail level 3: jobber shops (most personal accounts get this) level 7: full stocking jobber (most shops get this and a percentage off this) all those pricing, are computer generated.. we don't sit there and enter in a price for each item, which is why a lot of the time the pricing is whacked. and the performance side of things, it's a joke.. lordco has been working on it. comp cams, autometer etc all have fixed pricing now to compete with mopac. some items are still highly overpriced, but theres absolutely no harm in mentioning that mopac has it for said amount and see if we can compete with it. |
Ok, let me play this a different way. I own a business. Its not car related. I want an accout that is in my name. How much of a discount do I get? How do I make this magic occur? Posted via RS Mobile |
why doesn't everyone just use the revscene account? m understanding is the more people use it the better for everyone plus you don't need id or a card or anything. |
^maybe tons of people use it & someone should be asking for a bigger discount, but how would anyone know?!?!?! |

1. Volume of goods being sold 2. How much money you're spending Put the two together and spread it out over time, you get a better discount. Having said that however, some "discounts" are an absolute joke. MSRP on lets say an oil filter could be (extreme example) $50. Your "quoted discounted" price could be $48 and they probably still at a 5000% markup. Again, factor in the two I mentioned above and plug in time, you get a better discount. YMMV. Just go up to them and say you want to set up a cash account. Source: I have an "in" at Lordco in management. |
Called up chuck's today, looking for the magnaflow 17107 pro series catback. Asked if they honoured lordco accounts.he said not neccesarily but he would give me the best price he could. Around $370,pretty good cheapest i found even online. Overnight delivery to boot.Finish line quoted me $499. His name was fred btw. |

Revscene account is still active. Saved me a few bucks on a replacement washer pump this week. |
For Lordco discounts. National Car Rental Percentage: 40 or 50% off A buddy of mine used to work for them back in the day. He told be to just mention National and you're good to go. |

or just go there, talk to the counter guys, buy a couple of bottle of brake cleaners now and then and eventually they'll give you level 7. at least the lordco on no.3 does, really all nice guys there and very knowledgeable. i live on 49th and rupert but i drive all the way out there every other weekend to pick up parts or supplies. or even ask them nicely "could you help me out with a discount?" and im absolutely sure they'll give you level 3 |
how many discount levels are there? |

but referring to the prices being "whacked", lordco discounts are percentages off retail which means they're still making quite a bit of profit because retail is whatever they dictate. whereas (im speaking generally im not sure what lordcos system is) when you're an employee you get whatever their cost is plus 10%. so lets say an oil filter costs them 10$, you would pay 11$ for it as an employee. however if you're a walk in customer and they give you 30% off, you could still be paying 70$ because their retail would be 100$. 15 off/ 30 off/ 40 off and even 50 off doesnt mean much, in comparison to cost plus. |
Guessing it doesn't work for every Lordco cause they asked for ID when I went to the guildford location. Or I'm doing something wrong lulz Posted via RS Mobile |

As for discounts, level 7 is the highest, am I right? |

Here's a question for the Lordco fellows. Level 1, 2, 3, and 7; why isn't there a level 4, 5, 6? |

BTW, I get nice discount at Lordco, but only my name and ID will get it, sorry, guys. |
