i was thinking of porting over to wind for that holiday miracle plan until i read the terms and conditions of the plan..

8. Wind reserves the right to terminate this promotional plan at any time.

Its not going to be like, One morning, Tony decides to cancel this guys HMP, then tomorrow another one, just cause he feels like it... its gotta be a legit reason...
if your abusing your line, always late on payments or dont pay... As long as you follow the ALL terms, there shouldnt be any reason for them to terminate your plan...

FYI, rogers can terminate your plan, they just have to let you know 30days in advance... So im pretty sure belus has this also
Does this mean your going to stop using your cellphone??

Next iPhone chipset will support AWS, says T-Mobile CMO

"There has been rumours in the past that Apple has been considering developing an iPhone that is AWS compatible – unfortunately it’s never surfaced. Special thanks today goes out to Neville Ray, CTO of T-Mobile USA, for resurrecting the rumour by saying that he’s seen Apple’s next chipset and that it could bring the “revolutionary” device to their network. According to a report in CNET, Ray stated that “The next chipset will support AWS. The challenge that existed in the past will go away”. Of course, nothing is final and Ray noted that it’s up to Apple make the deal happen. For us Canadians, an AWS iPhone would certainly bring good news to Wind Mobile, Mobilicity and Videotron."

I'm thinking of switching over to Wind from Mobilicity but I have one question:

How is the coverage in the queen e area? The coverage map for both wind and mobi show that it's covered but when I'm in the area I barely get a signal.

Also are there any good plans right now to go with the Galaxy Nexus? I'm looking for something that's about $40 and has unlimited everything including all the call features. Something like the Holiday Miracle Plan but I think I missed that..

That $40 Canada wide plan is back. Unlimited talk, text and data across Canada. Its called the leap plan or something now.

I've personally been thinking of switching to wind from rogers but I'm only 1 year into a 3 year contract and I'm not sure if its totally worth it to pay my contract out...

are you referring to the oakridge/ queen e park area? if so, i get good coverage there. i work at the restaurant at the top and have had almost full reception at all times with good data speeds.

from what i can tell from this leap plan, its the same as the canada wide plan they had at $29/mo just last month, which was the exact same for the "chinese new year promo plan" so i dont know if there's added features or not.

i had less than a year left on my contract with fido so it was all the more easier for me to switch, but i can vouch for the fact that the reception is a whole lot better than what people make it out to be. data speeds are reasonable too if its a really important thing for you

Ya its the same as the oh canada plan.. I fucked up and was on the fence about switching and ended up missing the plan. For me its either the $25 smart plan with $10 data add on plus $5 for BIS or the $40 leap plan. Leap plan is a better value for the moneey I think. Or I could just go the smart plan route and wait for a better promotion to come up and spring for that..

Shittiest as in hardware?

I would strongly consider the Lumia, if only it had a better battery.

Shittiest as in everything.

Hardware sucks, reception sucks, screens suck, Sense UI sucks (for android), battery life sucks.

Hey Willy,

Check this out

Nokia Lumia 710 vs. HTC Radar 4G Dogfight Part 1 | PhoneDog

IMO it really depends I would go for the HTC Radar just because of the front facing camera but the Nokia 710 has Nokia Drive which is an excellent navigation app with turn-by-turn.

People say HTC phones suck but from the people that bought the Titan and the Radar they say its a pretty good phone. Check out what Phone dog has to say.
