I bought a plasma because I game quite a bit and heard to get the same sort of response time as a plasma from a LCD you need to spend quite a bit more.

Anyone care to chime in?

I find plasma's aren't consistent for gaming as the blacks are REALLY true black. LED is far better IMO. I have both.

+1 for LED

racerman88 12-26-2011 08:38 PM

if you want anything from best buy that was in the flyer, go to the stores at the malls. The one at Queensborough said they always have limited stock b/c they are a low volume store. We went to the Lansdowne store and found the GPS we wanted with plenty of stock. The store at Queensborough sold out fast.

I bought my Plasma today and I found it outstanding. My parents bought an LED, it's hard to explain but the picture looks very fake. I know the back ground is fake say in the grinch, but it just looks extra fake on their led and I have a hard time watching tv on it.. Maybe it's set up wrong or something.

I think I know what you're talking about. The picture looks "too smooth," right? It's a setting in the menu somewhere, though I've forgotten what it's called at the moment.

led lcd>lcd

plasma> led lcd if you're using the plasma in a dim/dark environment

but then of course it depends on the model of tv really

I had a shitty morning at NCIX and Metro so I went to the states instead. Costco, Walmart, and Abercrombie (50% off everything :fuckyea:) treated me much better plus NO CROWDS/line ups anywhere.

noTirl 12-26-2011 10:14 PM

I know what you mean, there's a setting to change that. If you play scary ass games or something like Red Dead Redemption it's impossible to see anything when it's supposed to be dark as the blacks are literally black and the contrast is naturally high on plasma's. Then when you change the brightness/contrast it won't look natural. I find plasma's are excellent for movies though. Smooth like a baby's bottom with true colors.

Spent Christmas in the States, and hit the outlets coming back. 30 bucks for a pair of Nike Air Maxes in size 14 :fuckyea:. Unfortunately, not much in terms of clothes in my size :okay:.

SO many BC plates at 9AM LOL. C-lais and hongers in BMW's everywhere as well.

chin3se604 12-26-2011 10:40 PM
