Actually, if it DID happen then I would assume D&G would have apologized... If there is no proof then it's hard to blame someone. Making news is not hard especially its a commoner VS a company as this happens all the time.

I would say, why apologize when you did not do something wrong?

If they apologized and admitted wrong doing it would also be a nightmare for the company.

Unless there is solid proof I wouldn't bite on either side of the story but I give benefit of the doubt to the company because they are the defendant.

The duty is for the Accuser to prove that D&G was involved in a wrong-doing.

By doing this facebook protest garbage and causing a stir outside a business is just plain stupid.

Also from what I have heard on the radio about this incident, there are no laws against D&G to say no pictures of their store front.

But again there are no laws allowing D&G to say no pictures as well, this falls in to a grey area.

Kinda. What happened was that some wanted to take a picture at sidewalk of the front of the store (with probably no intention of actually taking a picture of anything made by D&G) and was told by an employee of the D&G store that they couldn't take a picture there. When pressed for a reason why a picture couldn't be taken in a public place, the store employee replied with a reason that "they didn't want pictures taken of their products so that fakes could be made". However, logic tells you that you could probably get a better picture from the D&G website itself.

That person got a hold of Apple Daily, and Apple Daily News went back to try to verify. Apple Daily News reporters went and tried to take a picture of the store front from the same location, and were advised by a D&G store employee, AND a security guard, that they couldn't take a picture, even though it was public grounds. The security guard, in a moment of stupidity, added oil to the fire by stating "Hong Kong citizens can't take pictures here, but if you were a tourist from the mainland, you can". That's what set off the throng of people to show up in front of the store with cameras.
