I went there on wednesday and I didn't experience any lengthy wait times. Was it all because of the grand building thing? The store itself is incredible. I love that they have displays and they have a really awesome selection. I also love the individual brick sales. Reminds me of a candy store. I grew up without lego(mom bought me a shitty mega blocks set, the pieces never fitted properly) So it was quite nostalgic and a bit of a downer aswell to witness what could have been...

I fucking hate mega blocks LOL. Both my brother and I got a set when we were kids and we had missing pieces. Couldn't even finish our builds.

GF picked up the mini modular building set at closing. Got lucky and got a minifigure set as well!

no what i mean i u had fake lego before & some parts dun fit a real LEGO set which does piss me off as its only off but a tiny little

ilvtofu 05-10-2012 05:39 AM

rather have no lego than mix and matched fake lego. The store is pretty cool I went last week when it was relatively quiet and the sales ppl are so nosy. Honestly though I don't remember lego being so expensive, especially the pick your own piece cans, I remember my pail of random lego pieces being cheap enough for asian parents to buy...

GLOW 05-10-2012 07:59 AM

nosey sales people?
:suspicious:

....then don't buy fake Lego. Buy your shit from Toys R Us, or better yet, THE LEGO STORE!

Omg legit Lego.

is your "fake lego" just a different brand..becuz they are not SUPPOSE TO FIT...

if its FAKE like cheap knockoffs... then really, thats just... common sense. U get what you pay for

Purchasing Lego in Canada is expensive..especially for those Modular Sets... the VIP points dont really do much, u get $5 for every $100 on it. Unless you are looking for the big ticket/hard to find stuff. I think I can use my Lego VIP card in the US as well..not as many "points" but i rather save $50 ahah

ToysRUs, Zellers, Walmart and RCSS will have sales.

Are you talking about their competitor, MEGA BLOKS pieces?

tofu1413 08-14-2014 09:46 PM

lego plastics are of higher quality than megablocks.

stepped on a lego......... not a scratch on the brick along with dat pain.

step on megablock.... cracked it, still in pain.
