Good Luck with it!
That's actually a smart thing to do - unless the person who caused the accident is a habitual liar, they will be honest at the time of the accident.

But once they have a few days to think about it, after talking to other like-minded people, they'll have enough time to change their story and pin the fault on you.

Edit: I had someone back into me, admit it at the scene of the accident, but later on, tell ICBC that I had rear ended them.

Honest to fucking Christ the easiest way to get a married woman in the mood is clean the house and do the laundry.....I've been with the same girl almost 17 years, ask me how I know. - quasi

Ya - I just got him to write a simple note,

I, ___insert name____, backed into ___insert my own name___ on Jan xx, 20xx in the parking lot/street/lane.

Signature

and I matched the signature to his DL.

If he/she actually refused to write that note though, I don't know what I could've done... I'm not a big guy, so physical intimidation is out of the question. Calling the police wouldn't help because they'd leave before the police got there... haha.

^ I would have called the police anyway. Chances are, he wouldn't take off if you have his info already.
If he leaves before the police arrive... something fishy
Only helps your case imo.
