Do any of you guys buy whole chickens? I'm thinking of roasting one, but I don't know what a good price is or where best to buy it.

Striploin steaks are $6.99/lb $15.41/kg at Safeway. Limit 2. Need a Safeway card.

WHOA, where and how much?

On a side note...No Frills sucks, I don't know why I go there. The chicken for 5 bucks was retarded.

4-something a pound is expensive. Cheap is around $2.50 a lb +/- 50 cents.

Hey guys.....i need some ideas on how to shop for a BBQ on a budget....its going to be a fairly large party ~80+ guests, and some for multiple meals (lunch and dinner)

Where is the best place to buy large amount of meat? is it worth getting a costco membership?
Costco.com (US) seems to have whole sale bulk meat in boxes..however I dont think I am allowed to bring meat across the border (am I wrong??)
I was thinking of checking out Superstore, No Frills or the Wholesale Club on Kingsway.....are those going to be cheaper than costco?

I'm looking for about 50lbs of wings, 50lbs of full chicken leg quaters, 30-40lbs of ribs (st louis style), 30-40lb of ground beef.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My receipt said I saved 54% off regular price for those T-bones, but Safeway's regular price is fucked up retarded high so probably not a good comparison.

Doesn't seem like it this week for beef.

Pricesmart has Pork for cheap $1.98/lb; would be good for pulled pork or carnitas.

T&T has chicken legs $1.99/lb Fri to Mon only

Safeway has Chicken Breast $2.99/lb, not bad but not the cheapest I've encountered.

$2.99 a lb is about as cheap as it gets for fresh chicken breast. Thats less then $7 a kilo! Are are you talking about the frozen junk?

I dunno, I never buy chicken breast, always legs or whole chickens which are often less than $2.99/lb so might've mis-spoken about not the cheapest for boneless breasts.
