I wonder if the owner's insurance will pay out the amount stated in his "BC Assessment" (probably around $750,000) because I don't think he would get anything near that much if he sold it on the market.

Gf's mom spoke to the residents upstairs and downstairs. Everyone made it out alive. Don't exactly know what happened, but the residents upstairs were all sleeping at the time.

Was there at 1am to see if the surrounding houses were ok.
Took the Fire crew 35 minutes to contain the blaze and a bit longer to extinguish it.

Are they referring to the lint catch that is inside the dryer that caught fire or the main air duct?

I was always confused by this.
Because even if the lint catch caught fire it's inside a metal dryer? How would it spread unless it melted the dryer, but that seems unlikely to me?

its not just the lint trap. You should get it checked at a minimum every 2 years. Especially if you have poor venting, it should be checked every year. As well as people who own gas operated dryers. Poor venting, can cause lint to be built up inside of your machine and you won't even know it. So go and clean up your dryers folks.
