Just got back from bestbuy, got the Vita, 8GB Memory Card, and Hot Shots golf.

Traded in some games (MW3, Madden 12, Mortal Kombat) and got an extra $10 for each one, not that great but still something lol.

Can't wait to get home and play lol.

ya if u have the ps3 version the vita version u can get for free supposively.. i'm still waiting for that

digital copies are usually 10% cheaper on psn store plus right now psn is bugged out where u don't pay tax so u save an additional 12%

^ohhh... i thought we dont pay tax if we buy online digitally regardless?... i just bought uMvC3 from PSN. having fun with it so far ;D

but yeah, i was disappointed when i saw the game for the same price as bestbuy ;[

i did a quick research, and the physical games from the carts are SLIGHTLY faster than off memory stick/digital version. something to consider for hardcore gamers ;p its not ALOT faster, but still there.

for PSPs it was the digital versions that were faster than the dumb UMDs ;p

Tempted to buy one and try it out, then return.. LOL

i bought the first edition bundle last night, manage to find one at futureshop

played around with it, then returned it today.................................... then i found myself buying it again only the regular vita....

now i regret buying it yet i want to keep it because its such a cool tech.. maybe ill buy monster hunter on psn.. ill wait for used copy of uncharted to show up on craiglist eventually.. i regret it because im selling my 3ds now, bought it at launch last year.. lol

for those asking about owning a copy of ps3 and getting a free copy version on vita for cross platform games, it seems every article i read about it was misleading

it is referring to the DLC u bought for ps3, u can use for Vita like costume packs for UMvC3

No one really knows what to expect for any future games with regards to crossplay. Sony didn't say anything yet.

Would be nice if Sony made it a requirement to include crossplay on future games.

The Vita is a really cool piece of technology. The graphics are awesome for a handheld and it can do a lot more than just play games.

the diving game is reallly really cool, i think the implementation of AR games on Vita is much better than the 3ds

another main reason i'll keep the first batch of psv is IF this thing ever gets hacked.. that's a big IF it's usually the first batch that gets it. Escape plan is really fun you should get it on psn $14.99

i got one in HK last year & now im full of :fuuuuu: cuz i trade in my ps3 for it & then after that i got rid of it in china

reason for selling is the fact that i was curious about it so i bought it, then i just played it for one day & i barely touched it after that

i still have my 1st gen psp just for a memory card storage

one reason i just thought of for not getting the vita:
look at psn and how shitty it is as a web experience (youtube, browser, friends list, etc..)
imagine how big of a market that is, and yet sony just doesnt give a crap.
if they only put that much effort into the vita then there are troubled waters ahead.

nvm! bought psp 3000 this afternoon modded with emulators and the works! sega genesis, SNES, NES, gameboy etc. 1200 games! woot

for those of u that only got 1 memory card but would also like to download from the psn store in japan ie demos

1) format ur ps vita
2) yes to everything except format your memory card
3) link ur ps vita to ur japanese acc
4) dl all the demos you want
5) let it install
6) do not open any of the game
7) repeat step 1, 2
8) link back to psn acc in canada
9) profit

i got a free vita pouch from the sony rep.. it's like one of those goggle pouch that u can use as a cleaning cloth.. it's actually pretty good.. not bulky at all

bought shinobido 2 on psn for $34 and no tax online..

then bought MvC3 and Uncharted as a physical copy because i dont want it taking space on my memory card.. damn the game has updates just regular ps3 games that can take space from ur memory card.. averaging 100mb or so

i bought a 16 gig and not sure if this will be enough a year from now.. i downloaded the demos and all included i have 9 gigs left..

i'm using my 4gb for saves and updates and using my 32gb for demos and all the jp psn purchases

whats interesting to note is for those that picked up LBP and mod nation racers for psp when sony offered free games from psn after getting hacked back in june

the 2 games shows on my download history yet i cant download them on Vita, nor is not even listed on the PSP selection on the psn store from the portable..

but shows up on my download history on ps3.. so i downloaded the 2 games on the console, then connected vita through usb and the vita didnt recognize any of the games at first.. did a reboot and viola! the Vita recognizes LBP psp and i was able to transfer the game on my portable.. but it didnt recognize Modnation Racer

its interesting to note because MNR game is already out on Vita and LBP is also coming out on Vita in couple of months as a straight port of the ps3 version.

^yep..i downloaded the psp titles back then just in case i ever get a psvita i can just load em on.

I'm hoping the 32GB go on sale like -$30 or so would grab one then. I only have an 8GB right now and hopefully that'll be enough in the mean time.

Thinking of getting the PDP Hard Crystal Case but it looks way too bulky. The Thrustmaster V.I.P Case is really nice but that's all it is, nice looking, doesn't even really hold any games .

costco has it for 84bux.. u can try ur luck and see if fs or bestbuy is willing to price beat that
