I've heard decent things about Wolfe. Their sales people, at least a while ago, are friendly and pleasant to deal with, even if you tell them ahead of time you're just looking and don't want to waste their time. Went for a spin a couple years ago in an STI with a salesman that was bored and just wanted something to do, even after I told him I had no intentions of buying a car at that point... I was just killing time, myself.

I had a good laugh from that picture. :

these so-called "lifetime" car washes are probably only available if you buy their lifetime oil change package. dealerships offer a free car wash with every service anyways! they'll probably tell u to get lost if you come in every week for a car wash, haha.

When my dad bought his lexus in Chicago, the dealership offered free lifetime car washes.
They gave him this decal, and he can drive to the dealership for a free car wash as often as he wants. The waiting area has all the amenities like wifi, food, coffee and nice big couches to sit as well.

Wish dealerships here offered similar services.

lifetime car washes are sketchy as fuck lol...
I got my 2012 Rogue from Southside Nissan, when we were negotiating, the sales threw in the life time oil change/car wash thing...
as soon as I walk out the building... I see this kid with the huge ass car wash brush.. and i was like... well there goes the lifetime car wash thing...

I'd say its been getting better.

I dont think theres a single person that worked there when the belaud incident took place thats still here, the entire dealership has been refreshed with new people.

Sales guys and managers now more focused on customer service, for example customer purchased new WRX, later "found" some scratches and a scuff on bumper. Managers decide to pay for it even though we didnt do it. (we inspect cars for damage in a walkaround before delivery)

As part of the lot crew, we still use brushes unfortunately. So if anyone is getting their car serviced and does not want swirls everywhere, make sure to tell service advisor no wash. If you are getting a car from us, make sure to PM me so I can personally prep the car for RS members with a mitt and a couple buckets.

I was in the market for a WRX and I found a decent deal on the island but I wasn't feeling too hot about having to take the ferry and taking a day off work, etc.

So I figure I'd give a local dealer a try. I was in Richmond that day so I figured why not give Richmond Subaru a call and see what they could offer?

I call in, salesman named Peter picks up the phone, I tell him I'm interested in looking at a 2015 BASE WRX and I ask him if he could give me a quote. Right away he says he's busy and asks for my contact information so he can give me a ring or a text message later on. I figured fair enough and hung up.

30 minutes later, he calls but I was busy but he decided to text me instead which worked out even better for me. As we have a conversation started, he tells me his quote and it's SIGNIFICANTLY higher than what I was offered at the Victoria dealership AND higher than the listed price on the website. Both website and Victoria dealership included all the fees and everything already too.

I figure, okay, maybe he got the models mixed up (maybe he thought I was talking about the STI, I figured) so I ask him to confirm that this was for a 2015 BASE model WRX and he still says "yes, that is the correct price." At this point, I'm pretty confused so I ask him how come the pricing is so different than what's listed on the website.

He lists the different fees out for me:
$595 Document fee
$199 Preparation fee
$695 Finance fee
$125 Air and tire levy.
Total comes to $1614, but he was giving me a price that was $4320 more expensive than the website listed price. I ask him where the other $2706 came from and he pretty much dodged it entirely.

Keep in mind also that every second text message he's saying "it would be easier for me to negotiate a good deal for you if you give me your credit card information first and put a $1000 deposit down."

So I'm already feeling this guy's gonna be pretty pushy. At the same time, the Victoria dealership had sent me a quote in paper that clearly states that my monthly payments would be less than what's listed on the website and this was before any type of discounts were applied.

So I forward the quote to Peter, asking him if he would be able to match it and he flat out says to me: "This quote is not from a Subaru dealership, it is a quote for a Toyota Corolla, I do not want to do business with such a quote".

I lol'd, said screw it and went into Victoria the next day with the Victoria salesman picking me up from the ferry terminal and applying extra discounts and now I'm paying $200 less every month than what Peter offered me.

TL;DR:
- wanted to buy a 2015 WRX
- Victoria had better deal but I wanted to check out a local dealership
- Peter gives me ridiculous quote
- Tells me the quote I got from Victoria was unreliable and called it a Toyota Corolla quote
- I buy from Victoria instead; now pay $200 less than what Peter offered.

Of all the sales there you both happened to get Peter haha. Without saying too much, lets just say he has a bit of a ego problem and doesnt know how to deal with customers.

If anyones still looking be sure to PM me I will only let the best take care of you guys.

Luck of the draw, I guess lol but yeah, I'm not blaming or bashing Richmond Subaru as a dealership. Just that specific chump.
I did receive a call from Tim after a few days though. I guess he was trying to save the sale that Peter screwed up.

I can understand there being levies for tires... but for air??

And aren't tire levies like $5/tire anyways? That's such a BS markup

The $125 blows you away more than charging a $695 finance fee?

Yes we'd like to charge you $700 so we can charge you interest on this loan.

Well obviously stealerships will charge those other BS fees, it's kind of expected anyways.

I've just never seen an air/tire levy before being charged from a dealership. It's like they're out to ding on every little thing to make money off of you

Tire levy is $5/tire, even when you just buy tires. Air con tax is actually charged to the manufacturer, but they can pass that charge to the dealer, which I guess is the excuse the dealer uses when adding it.
