WoW...The pictures on page 6 are self-explanatory.

Detailing is not hard. Requires finesse, patience and clean work environment. Although black is the hardest color to detail. This incompetent dealership detailer clearly caused more damage than necessary.

You're going to need to wetsand the deep scratches out. A reputable detailer can do it but expect a big bill...which the dealership should be paying.

bobbinka 02-23-2012 10:16 PM

everyone should put up a FB status warning their friends about this dealership and tagging Richmond Subaru in it.

they can remove the tag so it doesn't appear on their page, but they can't remove your status. so even if they untag themselves, they'll know a shitload of people are telling their friends not to go there. that'll probably get their attention.

kkttsang 02-23-2012 10:17 PM

Their Facebook page is starting to get more posts abt this and hopefully that will help out the op

z3german 02-23-2012 11:29 PM

lol so awesome how this is exploding on FB. Weird other people can see my wall post but i can only access it through the notifications, invisible to me on their wall.

Sky_High 02-23-2012 11:30 PM

^ yeah their fan page is kind of messed up. Depending what you comment...it might or might not show up on other people's view.

Thanks for all the support guys, I can only give you a proper update when my detailer gives Richmond Subaru their quote, my car will be going into a PROPER professional detailing on Monday, I will then update with new sexy pictures of my car!

Though the sad part is, even the detailer said the damage is too extensive...they may not be able to get all the scratches out. :(

P.S: By proper update, they will either accept the quote, or deny it.

P.P.S: Im also fairly certain a lot of you are rooting for them to deny it so you can have more dramatic fun haha /joke

SpuGen 02-23-2012 11:50 PM

Fuck em.
Send it to Jalopnik/Autoblog

Let it blow up.

Get a new car.

IIRC, hypa had a problem with his STI, then got the entire car replaced through warranty.
Not sure on the details.

Even the people at Volvo of North Vancouver are having a good laugh:

Well honestly, I'm not out for revenge at all, I just want to be fully compensated (at this point, gas, taking work off, disgusting customer service, time wasted: going back and forth, going around asking for people for their cameras, just to take pictures of friggin swirls, etc.) and my car completely fixed.

You should get some kind of compensation from them. You paid for a new car, not a new car with thin paint and leftover scratches.

belaud 02-23-2012 11:56 PM

OK, that comment by a north van volvo employee just made me crack hahahaha.

belaud 02-23-2012 11:59 PM

Also, I have a lot more high res photos of the deep scratches, I found one on my rear bumper that extends 1/4 across the bumper after rinsing it, this looks like they decided to kick my car after they detailed it.

Theres another long scratch from the right of my gas cap to the very tip of the right tail light. This looks like someone dropped a rag and basically rubbed it across the surface.

MindBomber 02-24-2012 12:21 AM

The thread I created on H-T has 227 views and it's only been up for an two hours haha

Hey man.

Wow. Really sorry to hear all you had to go through.

All the best in getting this resolved. I really hope Subaru Canada can set things right.

Fix belauds black STI, the one that comes back every week. Until then consider my business and all my friends business gone from your dealership. Revscene will be watching...

Richmond Subaru
Hi Bart - we are aware of the situation and is being addressed at the highest level. Thank you for your patience.

Hank Krispie B
eing addressed at "highest level" as in having a general manager tell its customer "I don't ever want to see your face here again." ???
Well played, Hank.
