^^^ its a risk, what i used to do when tutoring some ppl there, park in front of zellers, south entrance, walk through zellers come out of mall east entrance, then walk to the school, never got a ticket, but i never parked there the whole day, did it just incase security was watching, this was always in the afternoon/evening times too. I always bought at least one chocolate bar or drink from zellers so if they say i was student and was not shopping at mall, i have receipt as proof. but never had to use it, not sure if it would even work. I have also seen numerous ppl getting tickets/towed too, tow trucks are on standby in that lot as well. (maybe just a scare tactic but i can't be sure) |
^^hit or miss, u use to see so many more cars parking there now theres like none. I just park in kwantlen, hit or miss if they give me a ticket. Didnt pay for parkign once this whole summer semester, got some tickets, but disputed them all and told them they can take me to court if they want. I was gonna buy a pass for fall semester but now that I just saw the post where it says parkign passes are no longer purchasable, what a load of horseshit. With the amount of tuition we pay, plus the mandatory fucking upass fees, the least they could do is offer the parking pass for people. |
how's co op at kwantlen? |

The new "Pay by Plate" system is rubbish. I love some of the instructors I've had at Kwantlen, it's a great institution in many respects. The undersized lot has always been a minor headache, but this idiotic parking system has completely tainted my opinion of the institution. I'm going to do something about this... |

p.s. spotted a sick c63 today at kwantlen surrey, probably ssonss1's gf's...jelly |
I was too choked to even park in the lot today, I just went to the little lot across the street on 128th and parked for free. I rather walk across the street than circle for ten minutes to find a spot at the back of the lot, then wait in line at the machine for another ten minutes behind twelve other people paying $5 to park for one class. I might post a petition to bring back semester long passes on the bulletin boards..... |

Isn't the enter license plate system better if you leave and come back? Like go for lunch and come back... |
^ no! if you had the receipt system, go to lunch, come back, park in any open stall and place receipt on dash. I guess people can't swap tickets anymore :( Some secrets should be kept between students and not be published on 24HR news paper for the parking authority to see! |
definitely not liking the new pay by plate system as well... No wonder the parking lot in Richmond campus has way fewer cars. |

Wait.... you could place it on the dash? I thought it was by stall :( |

What this eliminates is a person paying $5 for parking till midnight in the morning and leaving in the afternoon, then another person taking the spot free from afternoon to evening. Not to mention... if you have a ticket with impark, when you enter your plate into the machine, it's most likely going to flag your car in some way. |
m taking jpn 1100 for easy gpa booster, but I took jpn in high school till gr.12 but I barely got through and really didnt pick up much. Do thye profs even care or check your previous histroy? |

No, they don't check your previous history. If you took Japanese in high school and didn't do well, I'm not sure why you would take it again in university as a GPA booster. Is this your first year in university? |

I'll put some thought into this and write up a basic petition next week. I can post it at the Langley and Surrey Campuses. Would anyone who has classes at Richmond or Cloverdale be willing to post petitions there? |
put them where the pay machines are :ilied: |
Thanks for the replies, its not my first years |

Kwantlen definitely has some accounting co-ops available, but with that said you need to find your own co-op placement and a job is not guaranteed. In the end the choice is your own, personally I would do co-op, doesn't have to be at kwantlen, I know SFU has co-op as well. |
