Just a quick question, has anyone here taken the English Placement Test at Kwantlen?

Which one is better to take:

Kwantlen Placement Test into one of: ENGQ 1099, ABEE 0091, ABEE 0092 or ELST 0381
LPI Essay score of 26 Level 4

Can anyone please tell me the difference between the two? And if you've taken any thoughts or preperation?

TIA!

(BTW, its for the general requirments)

engq 1099 was easy

If youre in a shitty group, It's just for the motivated people to do all the work when all the lazy fucks do shit. Even if they do do their part it's useless and garbage and you have to end up doing most of it or else you get a shitty grade that fucks you over completely.

Can anyone fill out my survey please?

^ CBSY1105

It's like learning how to use microsoft word and basic excel functions... I got an A+.

Guess you have to be somewhat computer literate, it's really nothing beyond what you would have needed to be capable of in high school as it's mostly formatting and basic functions (sum, if, vlookups)

dbaz 04-10-2013 10:45 AM

cbsy and lower lvl language classes

MindBomber 04-10-2013 11:41 AM

The Summer 2013 CBSY 1105 sections are ALL full with LONG (you're basically not getting into the class, unless everyone currently in it drops) wait lists, heads up.

does anyone else feel that it is useless to study for a final 24 hours before? People that take notes and start highlighting their books before finals makes me :fulloffuck:

Not at all, it's potentially very useful. The additional theory you review will be fresh in your memory during the exam.

I do, however, think its useless to attempt to learn an entire semesters worth of material 24 hours before an exam; which is precisely what many people do early in their undergraduate career.

actually find it better for myself if i review 24hrs before hand. maybe 5-8hours the day before, not all in a row maybe 2hrs at a time followed by a break. wake up the next morning, quick review, do crap for the day, head to class 20min early and do another quick review. studying well in advance does nothing for me.

RevYouUp 04-21-2013 07:29 PM

Yea, it's not useless to skim through what you know before the exam, but if you're learning new material it is pointless

I got an A in ENG1100 :fuckyea: It wasn't even that hard TBH. If anyone needs to take it, I suggest you to take it with Kim Larsen. It's pretty basic stuff..
