That's terrible. What's your summer car?

And, on topic, I rarely buy gas up here anymore. $40 savings on average per trip.

Death2Theft 02-23-2012 10:21 PM

Guess all you people gassing up in the states dont mind no 94 octane.

I can deal with my 91 tune. So what, 4 less hp and 5 less lb/ft of torque or something like that.

skylinergtr 02-23-2012 11:36 PM

i wish i lived near the border now, although even in the US the prices are supposed to go near $5 a gallon.

just saw the gas stations in Vancouver hiking up to $1.414/L :(

94 is a waste of money unless your cars been tuned for it.

yot065 02-24-2012 07:18 AM

god damn gas is 141.2 @ main & 41st

hotjoint 02-24-2012 07:21 AM

iam_dan 02-24-2012 11:00 AM

lilaznviper 02-24-2012 11:12 AM

anyone been down to Pt Roberts lately? what are the gas prices down there?

mruppal 02-24-2012 11:14 AM

petro on 96th and king george in surrey hit 143.2 :fuuuuu:
pissed me off lol..

jack_dangerous 02-24-2012 11:30 AM

fuck the media, i blame the media for all this... they hype up all the stories about gas and gas prices. Its not like I can't see the damn price going up, and its not like the price is going to go down just because they do a story about it. If anything it would make prices go up faster because people are expecting it to go that high. We need to have another gas strike day or something.

tool001 02-24-2012 11:36 AM

^ the media has nothing to do with it.

Refinery fire in the us, and speculator in commodity trading do.

gas strikes dont do shit

shawnly1000 02-24-2012 11:45 AM

Speculation is a big issue I believe; When it was last 1.50/L the price per barrel was about $150, today the barrel closed around $109.

cho 02-24-2012 11:52 AM

142.8 at petro kingsway and nanaimo

Gas prices be cray

I think we're seeing that this cartel doesn't play by the rules. Crude oil use is down, yet the price is climbing even higher these days.

Imho, buy shares in Exxon or Husky gas, and only use that company. Then you can enjoy their profits (husky pays a handsome dividend) buying something you need anyway. After that, buy a bike and take up pedalling. At least then you're only feeding the beast that gives something back, and getting in better shape at the same time.

mr_chin 02-24-2012 11:59 AM

i think its time to start using 87 octane

My car takes 89, so, no, I don't care. If I was driving a car that required 94, I would not be concerned about rising gas prices.

Only if you're stupid. Cars that are tuned for 91 will have worse fuel economy than if you paid the extra ten percent to fill up with premium.

4.5% return with dividends, not too shabby! Though, I am partial with my booze stocks as well as other controversial/un-ethical stocks.. LOL

Petro Canada in Coquitlam is still 131.9. Long line ups though...

tool001 02-24-2012 02:16 PM

it was 1:30 last nite at both shell/esso on north rd/lougheed

mikemhg 02-24-2012 02:30 PM

The whole financial system needs an overhaul. We're all paying through our fucking ears, while a select few are reaping the profits. I don't want to hear about free market ideology, at the end of the day we need to decide if this ability to speculate is truly for the greater good of our society.

We're being played like fools here, the excuses for the price fluctuation is one big joke.

murd0c 02-24-2012 02:31 PM

But I think I need to put my stock tires back on, they get me a extra 100kms per 65 lt tank....

I get 300k with my 33's now :(

Qmx323 02-24-2012 02:40 PM

fffuuuuu

140.4 for 87 in Richmond.

Point Roberts run?

whitev70r 02-24-2012 03:08 PM

Sun article says in Metro Van, you're paying 39.1 cents in tax on every litre +5% GST on top of that. Time for tax protest.

UFO 02-24-2012 03:24 PM

Tax didn't cause gas prices to jump 20 cents in the last 2 weeks... gas was 121.9 2 weeks ago.

busdriverman 02-24-2012 03:28 PM

140.9 in richmond today
