god i remember the countless hours i spent playing that thing. I stayed up for 24 hrs trying to finish that fucking hang glider game with the final level that was a chopper rescue.
I'd save it for the kids. Then give them a lecture about how technology has changed. lol. Good times.
You'll be exactly how your grandparents were to you. BACK IN MY DAY, we use to play 8 and 16bit games. Though I agree that these games are way better then some of the new ones
I left my snes with my ex-gf 10 years ago, regret it heavily. But my current g/f had a snes hooked up with top gear in it, loaded and ready to go the first time I went to her house. I was in love.
I would kill for a copy of mariokart.
I still listen to music from FinalFantasy and Secret of Mana, etc regularly.. here is a great website where you can get remixes of almost any song from any game. The donkyKong collection is really good too.
My son's turning 4 in a month, and he's crazy about Mario & Link. He plays Super Smash Brothers and Super Mario 64 at my in-laws place, and Mario Kart & LoZ: Ocarina of Time. He actually knows what he's doing in Smash Bros., he's OK at Mario Kart (no strategic use of items of course), and he goofs around on LoZ and Mario 64.
I also dug out my SNES, but I only found the cartridges for Final Fantasy 2 & 3, Street Fighter 2, and Killer Instinct. I'd let him play Super Mario World if I could find it. I also have a functional Game Doctor with a whackload of games on 3.5" disks, but it's too delicate for him to fiddle with at this age.

the thing is all these games look absoutely terrible on hdtv's....kinda wished I just kept a working tube tv around instead of giving it away for free. That or just download an emulator.
