I should have been more specific to the materials used in the body work for Japanese cars like Toyota, Honda and Nissan...

It's obvs a lot lighter than a full metal body. And I've actually read a thread that porsches use a high grade poly urathane material.

I don't think there are any OEM body parts made of fiberglass because it simply just cracks/breaks when under stress.

Corvettes used to be made of fiberglass composite.
