Lol, the canto swearing integrated into the game is just awesome. Hope they come up with new DLC to extend the game |

And why the hell do you need to understand chinese to play when they have subtitles? The non-subtitled stuff are just nonsense the NPCs are shouting at you. I actually found the Chinese dialogue to be annoying, just mixing in some swears and a phrase once in awhile, I'd rather they do all Chinese with english subtitles or just stick with english dialogue. |

i know u can play on pc with a controller but not everyones computer can handle the game at high. id rather stick to no lag play ps3 and besides i got a 58 inch tv for the ps3 dude its not the same if you dont understand canto the subtitles in some lines arent what they actually mean. and who wants to read subtitles when u can listen? yes they needed to pick one language and stick to it it would of been awesome if it was all chinese but they needed to be able to target this game to other people as well. |
I think it's actually pretty realistic (and funny for those of us who understand) how they integrate both cantonese and english into a single sentence in a lot of the dialogue |

This game is more like a Cantonese swearing lesson for the non-canto people. |
so i started the game on tuesday, and i finished it about an hour ago. yeah it's a pretty damn good story. wish i spent more time on side quests and stuff cuz i finished it with a face level of only 4 LOL |

just beat it in 13.5 hours. Overall pretty fun game. Time to do all the race missions, ahahah. |
I had a blast while it lasted but I've grown bored of it already. Game was too short and there isn't much or any replay value at all. The cantonese was a bonus for me and it was freaking hilarious but that quickly wore off too. Glad I only paid $50 tax in with the E3 promor, $59.99 + tax would have been shittier. Friend wants to buy it for $40 making it only $10 for me = well worth it. |
Just beat the main story of the game. Was quite short, but enjoyable. All that half english half canto(cussing) reminds me of HS lol |
anyone got a ps3 version they want to sell ! |

Anyone get annoyed at some of the cantonese spoken by the characters? Winston's mom's cantonese made my ears bleed. They honestly should have gotten more HK VA's to do the voice overs. Also i hope they add Kowloon areas such as TST, MK, and NT areas in DLC was dissapointed that they only chose 4 areas that were only in hk island and didn't even have lkf |
there are way too many tattooed muscle men in HK |
I'm glad I got the game on PC, because these driving mechanics are absolutely horrible, just got to wait for the modders to get to work. The way they drive is so arcadey, and it totally kills the excitement of buying a new vehicle when you know it's gonna drive like shit. It's a pretty big part of the game too, I understand they tried to make it easy for noobs but the least they could have done is set up an option where you can have normal or simulation driving physics like Mafia 2. I don't know how many of you guys played that game, but it has the best driving physics of any of these types of games. Actually felt rewarding switching between vehicles and upgrading... Also it would have been absolutely awesome if they could make a fighting mode where any time you get into a fight you can switch your controller layout and basically every button on your controller becomes a different type of strike or move.... with the fighting already being so good, THAT right there would have put the game over the top for me and probably many others |
here are a few things 1) did you notice if you're in Central (better part of town), the cars are nicer? 2) There were a LOT of cantonese in the game, I thought it was pretty awesome how they integrated it PERFECTLY. The slangs, when you beat someone up, when you steal someone's car...etc. there were so much asian slangs, to be honest, I couldn't think of any Asian swear words they DIDN'T put in. 3) There are 3 triad gangs in HK. a) 14K b) Sun Yee On. so the references were awesome. 4) Did you know when you're in the triad, aside from being a "dai lo" (big boss), the next in line are called "double red poles" These are the second hand man to the dai lo. 5) Edison played the role of Jackie and the voice over was pretty cool, Emma stone was in two scenes, but i doubt you'll recognize her The story was pretty short, but I thought being a honger, and watched all the ekin movies, it was a decent game. it's not going ot be as good as GTA, it's just no comparision, it's not going to be like Saint's Row. The HK scenery was great, the diaglogue and me being able to understand all of it was really good. story was meh, but again, it was short and sweet. |

two things that stood out, no traffic in HK and where the fook are the MTR and the 7-11 corner stores ahhahah |
Clothes are also nicer in Central of course. Pretty obvious which character Emma Stone would be playing, Kelly Hu's still the hottest actress doing voice acting in this game though  Having to drive through HK's actual traffic would've been annoying. I'm ok with no MTR, it's not really necessary, a fight scene or two might been cool, would definitely rather drive or take the taxi to get to places |
