Looks not too bad so far. Trying to find out more info.

The facial expressions on the characters are kinda whack though.

the game was pretty much finished at the end of 2010 when Activision announced they are stopping production on Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, DJ Hero and True Crime IP because they believe they just wouldnt sell as much compared to their yearly release of Spiderman games

Gamespot and Gametrailers praised the game back in e3 2010 for having the HK city look and feel better compared to Liberty City.

Was so looking forward to it, I love HK and I love it when movies and games take place here. Was sad to hear it got canceled, but I hope something good comes out of it :D

Infernal Affairs much? That's what it felt like from watching the trailer.

not enough games out there that include asian cities as backdrops (i can only think of Yakuza and Kane & Lynch)

hope they make it really open world like GTA

Graphics look better then TC:HK

here's a gameplay overview...i'm impressed..looks like just cause 2 with max payne bullet time. activision is crazy for dropping this in the first place

It was far from finished when Activision killed it. One of my good friends is an environment designer on the game and I got to see first hand how buggy it was.

Is there gonna be a Chinese version with Cantonese voice actors? That'd be SICK

So THAT's what happened to TC HK! I still remember being able to stick some poor guys head into an AC unit from the trailer...lol

they talk about it on Invisible Walls podcast last year and mentioned it was almost finished supposedly

but then thats probably why Activision decided to drop it, if it was far from finish and very buggy, they probably didnt want to invest any more money into it as it would miss their target fiscal year


IMO, SquareEnix should have bought the rights to True Crime name, the game will sell better with that name

I don't think those of us from Hong Kong will enjoy it, for one thing - just from the trailer there are a LOT of mistakes that will get really annoying - ie: some of the signs make no sense - and HK Popo officers do NOT have those stupid lameass american style badges

they need to include the pek yau vans

the police better be given these vehicles

And there had better be street vendors selling food and crap, red taxis, mini buses, hourly hotels, copy watch vendors, etc

They need to make an HK version of GTA.

I think it's more likely poor writing, which has me worried about the rest of the game. Why on earth would you have any reason to make a HK police story about a big 6? :fulloffuck: (appropriate smiley)
