Poilce Cruiser

Just a heads up. This morning on Highway 99 south of the Richmond Tunnel there was a light grey 2011/2012 Toyota Sienna unmarked police cruiser that pulled over a vehicle.

I've seen a WRX, my high school liaison officer had a EP3 SIR, ford f150 with a tonneau cover I see on the regular, bunch of domestic minivans. They're really cracking down .. i used to be a casual speeder i.e. going 80 on marine way etc. (like most people do) but ever since I started seeing all these undercover cars + the massive penalties lately ... I've smartened up.

Not to mention dodge magnum/charger .. they're really diversifying their cars.

Delta has a maxima, ford edge, Buick regal sedan, and a Honda Ridgle line.
Not to mention the typical Chevy vans, and ford explorers

Nothing new.

I've seen MDX's and Ram 1500's too. Pretty hard to pick out an unmarked cruiser these day with so many of these popular cars on the road.

Long time ago, we saw a Dodge Caravan on highway 99 that pulled up beside us and then accelerated off. We went and caught up then they turned on their lights and siren :joy:

Also seen the more common base Ford Fusions alot used as unmarked cars.

nah 03-21-2012 12:45 PM

One way to tell is the limo tint, most cars don't have tint that dark.

Oscar_Binswood 03-21-2012 12:56 PM

Not all of them have the limo tint. There's a lot more unmarks rolling around than you'd expect. However, these are also the guys that wouldn't be pulling you over for petty crimes as they don't want to burn their cover.

Do you guys know which ones are specifically for drug dealers or gangs? I know i always see a blue sienna un marked and i hear from buddies that they are a specific type of gang unit.

Was it red? A few yrs ago I saw that cruising with the F150 a few years ago on Highway 1 pulling over tons of people.

EDIT: I remember the van had an L or and N magnet on the back lololol

EvoFire 03-21-2012 01:35 PM

Not new, don't forget the white Volvo S70 in Burnaby

The VPD Gang squad is usually in full-size unmarked SUV with tinted windows, as they need the cargo space to pack assault rifles, submachine guns, and other heavy duty firearms and weapons.

EDIT: Nevermind, this is the ERT.

AW607 03-21-2012 02:18 PM

Saw a dark blue dodge caravan rolling around with an L on the back that pulled over a couple people. I never knew cops could even pull off that kind of stuff

dlo 03-21-2012 02:23 PM

Why Hello Officer! Whatcha got there? :)

Dragon-88 03-21-2012 02:33 PM

Is that the beige/brown F150?? I was following a F150 one day and was checking out the tint thinking it was really dark on the tonneau cover, because I couldnt even see inside the truck. Then I looked at the tail gate and had what looked like a vehicle number.. Next thing I know I see blue and red lights flashing infront of me.. Turned out to be a ghost car, which blew me away because I'm pretty good at spotting out undercover vehicles, but this truck looked nothing like it. Truck ended up pulling over a A4 because of front tint..

s300ae 03-21-2012 02:58 PM

Also When I lived in cloverdale they had a beige 1500 silverardo. Hard to pick out since it was not tinted, just had a small black antenna on the roof.

A canopy is not a tonneau cover. Huge difference.

There's also a lifted Ford F350 (gang squad), Toyota Camry, Buick Le Sabre, Dodge Dakota, Silverado and a few more..

Most of Abby PD are pretty chill, I've never had any trouble. Going to Duke of Dublin and watching every car that drives out of the parking lot get pulled over on a weekend night is hilarious..
