I used to have a 08 335 and the car was fine in the first year. Starting in second year, the car had to stop at the dealership almost every month with CEL. Fuel pump, injectors, spark plugs and ignititon coils had been replaced twice. There's one time something related to the camshafts and the intake and exhaust solenoids had to be replaced. Another time dealer replaced the camshaft bearing ledges. Gladly the lease ended and I don't look back.

Would you guys say a e46 m3 would be a better choice than an e92 335? How is the fuel economy between the two? Also, I'm guessing maintenance of the M3 would be quite a bit higher as well? (already used to paying bmw servicing, just wondering)

M3 > 335.

Well, the M3 IS going to have a firmer ride, but the body is a lot stiffer as well.

Personally, I'd stay from BMW.
